Must be a Burnley thing. We played them at home, can't remember what year but I think Steve Taylor scored twice.... Possibly Easter. We were on the embankment and my mate copped a pocket calculator to the head...... In the days where they would only fit in a clowns pockets!

Didn't Paul Comstive score twice against them at Burnden, both direct from corners, loved that breeze that day

When we played Leeds and there was all sorts flying between the embankment and Burnden paddock I got hit in the knackers by a coin, caught me just right and as I bent over in agony another copped me on the head 😁

I got hit on the head once by a calculator thrown by Wigan fans. It was a local customised job as it turned out.

Thought the dart in head picture was Man U v Liverpool… Unless more than one picture.

Always surprised me just how much coins could hurt considering they weigh fuck all , But I remember a 10p coin nearly finished Lemmys career after it nearly sliced thru all the tendons on his hand but some fucker had sharpened that one.

He ebven had a third that the keeper dropped on the line and it was cleared a way. Has 3 direct from a corner ever happened ?

There was definitely a Burnden version, I remember seeing it at the exhibition at Bolton Museum 

There's a bit in Stokes book about it going royal at back of normid 91ish.

Author speaks of a kettle being lobbed back and forth. Also mentions our main young chappy at the time with long black trench coat standing firm.
