That is essentially what the judge said.

I'm not sure the women would actually agree though.

It not allows organisations to make sensible decisions and approaches to safe spaces, sport etc for genuine women.

All about protecting women.

Why should their rights be infringed on?

 

It had got fucking stupid. In all my life I think I only know 1 person who has transitioned but we seem to spending so much time on covering a multitude of possible outcomes as though it affects loads of people. 
 

So does this mean know if you were born a bloke you use blokes toilets ? Even if fully switched ? And no more blokes playing netball ? 

The fully switched bit is where I'd have some sympathy. 

If someone has gone to all the trouble involved; hormones, surgery etc then maybe using women's spaces may be acceptable, though I suppose some women would still object.

As for sports- fuck right off. Even with hormones etc, they still have a male body structure etc, so no.

Aye, in which case none of them would be allowed in, unless there is specific provision within the act for fully transitioned folk. Which I doubt there is.

Hopefully, some common sense will be used and there isn't a backlash the other way.

And I imagine this doesn't prevent a fully switched person still using other changing rooms etc? Unless folk object, which is where it will still be complicated. 

Have similar sympathy tbh, but agree it's the right outcome. Women only spaces need protecting. 

Feel for all the people just trying to live their life in amongst all this toxicity though. Hopefully things settle down now. 

Just build unisex toilets and trans toilets and changing rooms from now on and most of the issues go away

The ‘wokes’ have not been in control. It is what happens when people lose sight of the ‘bigger picture’.

Next step is to protect the trans community so it isn't ostracised not just banish them into some grey area.

It's the correct decision re the law itself on the Equality Act, but this isn't a (and pardon the pun) binary right or wrong. The most disappointing thing is to see how some parts of the media are twisting it again into a culture war. The headline of the Mail today is headscratching and doesn't help anything.
