Fuck Stockport, Like Wigan for the Manchester flank of our support. Fucking annoying tinpot club with classless trampy fans. I hope this defeat costs them big time .

Nothing sums up the Evatt era more than Stockport County. They bolt out of the National League (beating us as a non league club in the FA Cup) , through League 2 like a dose of salts and then straight

Stays like this. That’s the final I wanted. Or more importantly the 2 sides I wanted to lose.

I can’t see Stockport or Wycombe being as good next season.

Think I’d like Charlton to go up

Wycombe have really regressed since Bloomfield left

Guaranteed to lose a decent London away either way which is the only important thing 😔

Before we played Charlton on 22nd Jan, they were 20 points behind Wycombe (and 14 behind Huddersfield).

And even playing average we should have won that game, ridiculous that they are on the verge of promotion at Wycombe's expense.  All these teams at the top from Wrexham down to Orient just have the ability to win poor games by the odd goal, often a scruffy one or a header from a set piece.

Definitely

Jones and Charlton would be far more likely to be up at the top than Wellens and Orient

Also since they refused to cough up for Aaron Morley!!

They are also prepared to win ugly, which IE never was. Charltons goal after 70 plus minutes came seconds after the 1st shot on target in the game from either team.

Wouldn’t necessarily say that. The win at Exeter was one of the ugliest I’ve ever seen (until Wigan away)

I would 😘😂😎

Just looked at stats we had 14 shots away at Exeter, Charlton had 12 last night, Wycombe 7.

So in our ugliest win you have ever seen we had more shots than either team in last nights game. They both had 7 in the first game. Whilst shots alone do not make a game ‘pretty’ it does show some intent to get forward. Wigan we had 12 shots and 66% possession.

Think you are confusing playing badly as we did for most of the 2 games but scabbing a late win with going out with an intent to stifle the game and then nick something on the break .

Evatt is getting the Joe Riley/Riga treatment at the mo. Mentalists 😂

I think if he’d stayed any longer he could of had the attendance at less than 100.

It does seem to be heading down the ‘extremes’ route again.

He had (very) good spells, (very) bad spells and indifferent spells. Dragged on for far too long but elsewhere he’d have got the chop before Christmas in League Two.

Let’s just hope we’re in a better place this time next year and not pining for Evatt’s return.

Thank fuck. I shudder to think of the footballing colossus Evatt would have spaffed the money on and we'd be lumbered with for another 3 years :D

Bang on. Think we can all agree he should've gone after Oxford.

It wasn't all bad, wasn't all good and went massively tits up at the end.

Anyway fuck him.

Aye, as it stands, we've only one London trip next season so am hoping that Wimbledon come up now.........if not, we'll have to count Luton as one.

Not for me

Oxford was bad but I think it was fair to give him the summer and at the time the transfers all looked spot on

He should've gone after Stockport

Oxford for me, but definitely after Huddersfield when he said he didn't know what to do.

If we're going of what he said Barnsley away in the league when he was pondering his future on the eve of a massive game

Good point 👍.

Clearly the bloke has his issues.

Should have gone after the first Barnsley play off. Was all predictable how it would play out from there

We'll never know how we would've done this season but it should've been in the championship.

Was put on a bloody plate for us.

Anyway fuck it, we've done this to death.

On to next season 😀
