L/H White Posted May 13, 2025 Author Posted May 13, 2025 (edited) no surprises with that score last night, 22 points gap between the two sides, time to just send the top 3 up? Edited May 13, 2025 by L/H White Quote

gonzo Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 Yeah let's take all that drama and scramble for the play offs away and just have it a closed shop for clubs with parachute payments. Quote

Johnnyrotten Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 I knew Sheff U had a poor play off record, but I didn't realise how bad. 9 play offs, lost in all 9. Been in 4 play off finals, haven't even scored 😀. It puts in perspective how overrated getting into the play offs is, as if its virtually a ticket to promotion. Quote

gonzo Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 I didn't know until the other day that if a Club goes back up before parachute payments are finished the remaining money gets split back amongst the Premier league teams. Surely there's a shout for it to be spread across the pyramid. Quote

It’s money that is budgeted to go out of the Prem every season, it’s upside to any club that receives it in the event the team goes back up. Split it between the 72 clubs and give them a nice little boost, they need it more than the Prem clubs! Quote

Good lord, someone with a playoff record worse than ours 😄 Quote

This is how out of touch I am - I thought "How the fuck is Jude Bellingham playing for Sunderland?!?" Had to google it 😁 Edited May 13, 2025 by Cheese Quote
Johnnyrotten Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 Great drama at the end but the better team over 2 legs lost, I reckon Sheff Utd will be pleased about who their opponents will be. Lampard has got Coventry playing some great stuff. Quote
bolty58 Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 L/H White is becoming the Cheese of the football section on WWays (if he hadn't already). Contrarian just for the sake of it. Europa League, Conference League and the Play Offs are going nowhere. Like Liverpools quadruple ambitions. Quote

Stig Posted May 14, 2025 Posted May 14, 2025 Stockport behind. Hopefully get rid of one of the southern teams for next season Quote

Duck Egg Posted May 14, 2025 Posted May 14, 2025 Pisses me off seeing a tinpot outfit like Stockport doing better than us. If they miss out this year but hang onto Challinor, they'll probably go up automatically next season. Quote
