  • Fuck Johnston off and get Taylor at left centre half, Conway’s attacking influence is way to big to leave out

Think we're gonna need to be a bit patient with Dalby.  He missed the whole pre season due to injury. Gonna take him a few games.

  • If there’s no injuries, taking the red card out, that was a good night for the squad. A very good night for certain individuals. Miller - so much better than his debut Smith - Great sta

Final 20 mins had me with a sweat on.

If he's not we are getting at least triple that fee lol

I'd want at least 5mil for him already, he's that good.

Well done lads!

Fair play. Not ideal putting the players through that much graft, but they stood up and restricted them to absolutely fuck all. Deserved win.
Some real hard workers out there. McAtee included. Cramping up after 75 mins and still got about them.

Simons is mint isn’t he.

Happy for Miller, didn't deserve all that abuse from the previous games glad he could settle in and give a properly decent showing.

funny old game, failed to get anything from 36 shots last time we played, now we win playing a whole half with a man less.

enough chances again to win this by far more, gotta say Rotherham in both halved were pretty woeful, one decent save in 2nd half form our keeper and we had the better, thought Randall's shot was pretty powderpuff after Simons was through, not a good lob attempt from McAtee right at end

Great win that.

Not ideal playing with 10 men for so long but didn’t look over run.

Minutes in the legs of those coming back from injury.
Christie looked decent enough.

Some good effective build up, creating clear cut chances, especially in 1st half when we had 11 men

Doesn’t look like anyone picked up any injuries.

Added bonus of a new right back from no where

Best right back debut since Joe Riley …

Now chief scout at Wigan

Saw that injury time out very well, Warren worked hard to keep the ball up their end.

They were horrendous but we showed we could apply ourselves and defend a succession of crosses properly. Miller kept goal well in that half

I'll retract a post from a few weeks back about Randall being the one who could possibly cement the 10 spot. Him and McAtee every game are like having 2p on two horses in the Arabian Derby at Coral Island, one edges in front of the other, then the other sneaks in front of him, but neither of them look like winning the prize

Belting team effort that

Taylor might improve us at the back better than Conway

In place of johnston

Has it clicked then?

I think I've counted 6 times that Richard Taylor has won headers in the box off corners. Forino has had a good game as well. For me I'd be playing forino next to toal and Taylor left back. I like Conway, he's quality,  but Taylor looks so composed and is tall. Forino is tall. Johnston is too small.

Yep we need to do something because the amount of soft goals is holding us back Taylor’s height and pace will help . When you think of the amount of headers santos used to clear we’re missing that . Forester is decent in the air once back so there is another option

Both fur coats and no knickers.

More I see of Randall the more I think of Kachunga... lots of nice running into space but no final clout when it's needed.

We looked a lot better in the first half, we had real opportunities and not just speculative shots from 25 yards. Plus the no 10 was getting involved and we were actually doing real crosses to the targetman.

He put McAtee and others through on goal about 3 times only for them to miss. He played well.

Yes decent shout Conway is obviously going to be good and playing well but playing wingers we don’t really need a wing back playing which at the minute looks more is game . We just need a solid defence

Taylor looks like the new Santos. Firino best game in a Bolton shirt....Christie cool head ...Smith Excellent Debut

Keeper good after the fist five mins where he looked nervous......Dalby does well holding the ball up and will get better with Burstow.......But take a bow Xavi Simons   The best player to put a Bolton top on in the last 10 years

Mcatee starts the next game

McAtee put a real shift in but lacks quality; his best game for sometime regardless of the couple of misses.

Behave!

Burstow will play 10 with Dalby 9 going forward

Looked decent all round 👌🏻

Mcatee - no issues in his attitude and application tonight 100% effort and looked Pretty creative at times.

Isn't that always the case?  I get why folk say he isn't good enough, even though he's been our best goalscoring option since Collins went, but where has all this about his on-field attitude come from?  Do you think he looked any different tonight than in every other game?  I've never once thought he wasn't up for it.

I can almost guarantee you that won't happen.
