Ah don't worry, "good riddance" remember. An outspoken politician, could rub folk up the wrong way, but spoke her mind and folk knew where they stood. RIP.

Coached my dad at Thornleigh back in the 60s

Sad news about Sobers.

Brenda Fricker gone to her final home too, but she won't be alone.

RIP to them both.

Great actress, decent innings. Not many have Casualty, an Oscar and share credits with Donald Trump

Why on earth did Trump get that cameo role?

He owned the Plaza Hotel and only let them film if he could have a cameo in it

Typical!

Pity they couldn't have dropped a piano on him, or some other slapstick manoeuvre.

Oh no. One of the few footballing idols I had as a kid who wasn't a Bolton player. A great player, one of England's finest, and seemingly a belting chap too.

RIP Mighty mouse.

He really was a fantastic footballer and gentleman who will be missed by many.

I don’t recall him ever playing against us though I’m sure he did but I do remember him managing against us when he was at Citeh and probably Newcastle

Twice for Newcastle in the 82-83 season he played against us but that's it as far as I can tell.

Not many ex England gaffers left now, though I think Roy Hodgson is Highlander

First Prem game at Burnden

First game my Dad took myself and @DazBob to, when Bolton played Newcastle at Burnden Park. We won 3:1 I think, Peter Reid scored for us, and Keegan got a penalty near the end

Remember that well lost 3-1 and then went to Ritzy, whole Bolton team was in there after the game. Stubbs & McAteer were absolutely wasted.

That game at Burnden about 82ish it was me that started the chant "Keegan Keegan what's the score?," as our 3rd went in before half time.

Think he scored a pen in the 2nd half.

Really sad to hear this. Him and Toshack were the players that I’d see on TV all the time when I was really getting in to football as a kid

Met him once in a gift shop in Hale. Weirdly there was him and the bloke who set up Stolen From Ivor having a chat. I simply said hello and Keegan had a good 15 minute chat with me. Lovely bloke

Is it wrong that I read this in the voice of Alan Partridge?

He played golf at Deane golf club one time in the 70s when, looking back there was an amazing amount of pro golfers and clebs at the time for a small local event.

He couldn't ride a 5 speed racer for toffee though.

Hands down the best player I've ever seen for making the most of the talent he was blessed with.

Yeh, I was thinking that today after I heard. For all the PR and that fucking awful single on TOTP (both of which will have made him a bob or two by standards of the day, but miniscule in real terms compared to what he'd get today) he was clearly a grafter who would put a genuine shift for his team in rather than play to the camera. And that worked for all of them, Liverpool especially obviously, but others as well both as player and manager.

So a genuine RIP from me.

I like that he pissed off the scousers when he went to Germany......

They're still bitter about it, the feckin grief monkeys......

Ballon D'or two years running is incredible as well

A lot of photos doing the rounds on social media taken over the last few weeks with him looking in good health. He was still doing sportsman’s dinners 3 weeks ago. Very sad. R.I.P.
