I see there's already a dispute over whether the ceasefire includes Lebanon

A minor detail of course.

Unless you're Lebanese......

This isn't good, apparently only 2 ships have actually passed through today

Quote

Attention all vessels. Attention all vessels. Attention all vessels in Persian Gulf and Oman Sea. This is the IRGC Navy Station. Transiting the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and you need permission from the IRGC before sailing through the strait. Any vessel trying to travel into the sea will be targeted and destroyed

Also, apparently, Lebanon has today seen it's heaviest day of strikes from Israel (obvs they're not allowed to be part of any ceasefire)

If I was a betting man, I'd wager that they'll be back to chucking missiles all over the place before the weekend

I think we all know the answer to that

Turmoil in the Middle East: Price of Oil goes up, instant increase at the fuel pumps

Middle East calms down: Well, there is a delay of several months before that feeds through, so it'll be a while before we can bring the prices down

They're cunts, and the Treasury loves it, as their tax take increases dramatically whilst prices are this high

There was someone on TV this morning explaining WHY the prices wont drop.. Apparently it will take about six months for the savings to hit the forecourts as they now have a backlog to fullfill.

The price dropping apparently doesn't play into it.. the price rising does...

The 10 point plan from Iran is interesting....

I can't see all that lot being agreed to....

Also, I heard that Iran will now charge a toll of $1M~$2M per ship going through the Strait of Hormuz.......so at least they'll earn a few quid

Its called a tariff

Gibraltar Straits anyone?

You seem a pretty intelligent bloke

but I’ll repeat what I said

Demanding money off ships to continue their passage in international waters is piracy.

There is no ambiguity here.

It’s not airspace.

Totally agree.. just thinking it through...what if Turkey closed the Bosphorus and Runcorn the ship canall?

We could close Gib.

How are historians going to view 2026 in 30 yrs time? Start of new world order or a complete abhoration?

Netanyahu is deliberately trying to scupper this ceasefire with continuous attacks on Lebanon.

He will no doubt get his wish.

Dull, but, you know.

Everything Trump has said in the last few days.

The utter lunacy of it all. The pointlessness of the war. The lies, the threats, the attacks on civilians & the economic carnage.

So who does Royal decide to criticise?

Kier fucking Starmer

🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

He’s dull, he’s workmanlike, he makes the odd mistake, he’ll probably be gone by June.

But Starmer has got this spot on.

Maybe he should paint a roundabout and jizz on a lamppost if he wants to save his job.

Worth noting that Trump is still having his nappy changed in America whilst Starmer actually goes to the Middle East to sort out the other massive shit that Trump has done.

Thats what responsible adults do. They clean up after infants.

Starmer deserves plenty criticism

But to look at this chaotic mess of a war & point the finger at Starmer’…. 😂

Very very odd

you either double down on trump

or try to take the attention elsewhere

very few left who will go with the first option

under no circumstances suggest you've changed your mind on trump though, too far gone for that

If I wanted to talk about Trump I’d do it in the Trump thread. It was a bit  of a lighthearted tweet that some people would find funny, obviously and unsurprisingly you didn’t find it funny.

Anyway good that we can now look to Pakiststan to negotiate world peace.

Haven’t checked Hormuz but 6 miles offshore is standard rule and they keep saying 33km across

There was a bloke on the radio explaining that in the 70s both Oman and Iran extended their territorial waters so they meet in the shortest point of the Strait which effectively closes it off from being international waters

Might be rules around allowing free movement through the Strait I suppose so blocking it off isn't allowed

Funnily enough he’d actually look less daft admitting he got it wrong on Trump.

You wait until the files are released, and he's outed for being the horrific child abuser we all know he is, certain folk will still be backing him to the hilt, and no doubt blaming either the kids, the kids parents or Joe Biden.

Imagine blindly backing somebody, no matter what they do to the world, just so you can say "At least Geroge Clooney is pissed off" 😉

The sooner Israel get rid of Netanyahu and co the better for everyone. Evil genocidal cunt.

Just having a look what he's currently doing to Lebanon. Villages gone. Bombing civilians again. Biggest terrorist of the lot that mon.
