Ukrainians decided to vote for the funny little bloke off the telly and ended up at war with this "empire". I know the majority here don't see it as I do, but it is a danger of popularism. For the record Zelensky's native language is Russian and he has received lessons in speaking Ukrainian Firstly, check your geography. Hungary isn't bordered by Russia. Plenty of others are, and yet don't support Russia. It is a choice made by Hungary (its leadership) in large part because of a reliance on cheap oil from Russia. As a member of the EU, their officials have been sending up to date details of decisions and policies to Putin's lot, effectively as agents. How the fuck a country that has been attacked, raped and starved by Russia (USSR) more than once, wanting its independence and not to be attacked can be described as having a populist approach is frankly ridiculous. So what if "the little comedian" spoke Russian initially- if he can learn the language, and can see the importance of it, then anyone there can. Irrespective of whether he was initially elected as a protest vote, he had proved himself masterful on the international stage and domestically too. The only one that doesn't want to see it for what it is, is you.
April 7Apr 7 I’ll say again He’ll back down whilst claiming a win. He’s more bothered about watching the Masters this week than blowing some brown people up.
April 7Apr 7 Watched a documentary about the pilot/engineer rescue the other day. A lot of resources poured in, aircraft lost, and the airman rescued. A positive for their military, and a minor "win" for Trump with the public, who will be looking at him aghast for the large part, but will be pleased to have their countryman back

This air rescue is similar, an initial burst of “Hell yeas” then they’ve quickly moved on and stopped talking about it. Classic Disruptor. The assassination attempt, where he hurt his ear. Nobody actually thinks that was real do they?

Closer to home, a chinook flew 1,000 foot above my house about half an hour ago, then went on a site seeing tour down the Thames River and M3. A pair of them seem to be training around RAF Odiham this evening. A couple RAF planes have been doing some nighttime manoeuvres out of Brize Norton, travelling over the Bristol Channel.

April 7Apr 7 Iran Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has said in a statement following the announced conditional ceasefire that negotiations will be held in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad within a maximum period of 15 days for the details to be "finalised". The statement has said that the negotiations will be held so that "Iran's victory in the field would also be consolidated in political negotiations". The statement has gone beyond the 10-point plan that had been announced by state TV, and the statement has said that the US has agreed to: Guarantee not to repeat its "aggression" against Iran The continuation of Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz Acceptance of [uranium] enrichment Lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions Termination of all resolutions of the [UN] Security Council and International Atomic Energy Agency Payment of compensation to Iran Withdrawal of US combat forces from the region And the cessation of war on all fronts, including against the "Islamic resistance of Lebanon" Can't see Trump agreeing with those..
