  • Sam Dalby. The man was possessed today, one of the best striker performances I’ve seen for us in ages. Hold up play, link up play, winning duels, getting us up the pitch, threat from set pieces/crosse

I think there should be some mention of the Grade A shithousery by the WSL faithful when we were under the pump at the death. Barnsley rush the spare ball to their long throw specialist, he’s winding

That’s kind of the point. It’s no coincidence that Dalby’s renaissance has coincided with McAtee’s upturn in form. It’s almost as if two players with differing styles can actually complement each othe

If we get at them from the off and score the first goal we should be fine, but if we concede first it could be tricky.

Do you copy this onto every match thread 😀

We haven't scored more than 2 for 3 months (that was only Port Vale), and that was the last time we kept a clean sheet in a game we won here.

So yes, any goal conceded at any time makes it tricky to say the least 😀

Well I can tell you that the natives are very restless over here with twitter and Facebook going berserk at selling DKD, for less than they anticipated they think, and not really replacing him with the money so talks of boycotting tonight’s game against Northampton so let’s hope Nobby can add to their misery? 😀

That’s an easy one to boycott… not that anyone would notice.

Johnston still slated as the worst defender to wear the white shirt.

Any goals conceded and unfortunately this is a very likely scenario.

DKD was the only player they had worth a damn so hopefully that means we have an easy time this weekend. Course, this is the Whites we are talking about haha. Even still, I think we are the far superior side and need to show that from the off.

Don't see Kenny starting but do coming on at some point; CBT with a brace.

Replacement striker wasn’t registered in time for tonight and unlikely to be fit for sat so they’ve got McGoldrick as the only fit striker

Connell bombed out the side as he agitated for a move.

they look like a very poor line up tonight

A goal down already.

Yorkshire Post saying SS is in the stands at Oakwell.

Good odds or lower than usual?

Since going behind, Barnsley have battered Northampton here… and there’s the goal!

They still look shaky at the back though.

Thing I’m most interested in is how long McGoldrick plays - he played 90 on Saturday and I can’t see that he’s got 3 games in a week in him. Really wouldn’t surprise me to see him start on the bench on Saturday (he didn’t play at all away at Cardiff)

edit: (you know you’re fully invested back in a season when you’re watching Barnsley v Northampton on a Tuesday night like you’re bloody scouting them 🤦🏻‍♂️)

decent enough for a home game, it tends to fluctuate between 20/1 and 100/1 depending on opposition and home or away

it was more an observation on "55" to 1

never seen 55 before

I personally don't tend to see high, odd numbered odds

Big Sam Dalby will be licking his lips at this defending!

4-0 incoming

Decent game actually especially when the Cobblers equalised with their second and could even have won it. Surprised that McGoldrick lasted the 95 minutes which must make him a doubt for Saturday. They still have some dangerous players if we give them space so I hope we don’t choose this one to leave Forino out. Poor at the back though and Woodman in goal doesn’t look up to it so no surprise Huddersfield binned him. Not going to be a pushover on Saturday but really if we’re true automatic hopefuls we should be beating these.

So you have no confidence in our renovated striker force to do better than we have in the last 3 months?

You’ll need a few more years training pal.

Only doubt I would have on Saturday is the right back/wing back. Cleary is clearly (😂) their biggest threat and neither Christie ( for pace) and Tutu ( based on second half v Dons) are our strongest .

But if we get them on back foot and push on will be fine *

* assuming we can kick straight with a bit of power in front of goal

christies lack of pace is a big worry for me, although his deliveries are the best at the club

If he’s playing right back he’ll be up against Johnston or Conway as opposed to Tutu or Christie.

Besides. He’ll have Blackett-Taylor to pin him back
