Saying Lincoln are a long ball team is nonsense. What they do is get the ball into dangerous positions and play from there. They are also full of confidence and belief.

There goal was excellent but they also pulled us apart numerous time picking up second balls and then playing fast incisive football.

We battled and the subs made excellent contributions, but think they could have been made earlier. They targeted our right side and neither CBT and Apter were involved. Tutu was awkward today but Toal constantly playing shit balls to him does not help. Apter had yet to impress me but lack of service to the wide men meant that to me changing the system should and could have happened earlier

The ref was a joke, all for letting the play flow but the lack of free kicks for us got ridiculous second half.

Only got to page 13.

Fuck me. We’re shit, our players are shit, new signings are shit. Lincoln are shit. Football is shit. Life is shit.

Just fucking give up why don’t we

Lincoln showed today why they are second and have been on such an excellent run. No frills but they have a formula that all of their players fit into and they are cohesive. By nicking a point against them we have done better than anyone else in League One lately.

As regards the bigger picture we have kept ourselves in touch with the top two spots - just. Albeit Lincoln have that game in hand and if they win it the gap really does like wide.

We have to keep some pressure on them (while remembering there are others around who will be thinking the same - Stockport especially). The one thing about Lincoln is that this is uncharted territory for them for decades as a club and fanbase. The closer they get to promotion being a reality the more they will have to deal with psychologically. If they start faltering we have to be ready to pounce.

.... and yes I am probably clutching at straws.

Re the last bit, with 42 points still to play for, I'd say the last sentence was unnecessary. Other than that, bang on.

Plenty of water to flow under the bridge yet. It might only be me but I am satisfied that we didn't lose.

If you analyse the table it is clear and obvious why we are not (yet) in the top two. Goals for column.

If you analyse the PL table, it is clear and obvious why Arsenal are top. Goals against column.

Hopeful that we can start scoring more. If we do, it'll be reet.

Up to page 15 and it gets worse! We’re not going up, we’ve no bottle, we’re not as good as we think we are - fuck me, I don’t know why I insist on reading back the whole thread.

Start at page 17 if you want to read some more rational comments.

Spotted on the High street parallel to the ground today. Thought it was a lucky Omen

Mental when you think about it. Darby was traditionally a goal scoring midfielder being asked to play upfront due to an Andy Walker injury. Then switched to centre back when Stubbs was sent off.

Plus he got a crucial goal at Bournemouth and the winner against Stoke.

Proper heroic stuff. So unfair he got stick a lot of his time at Bolton.

Most level headed Bolton fans have nothing but respect for Julian Darby.

I was at that game at Bournemouth, it was mint being in their end when Browny hit the late winner.

Hull on the Friday night needs no explanation, my favourite ever Bolton away day.

Happy with the point today under the circumstances, we had too many players 'off it' Tutu is a defensive liability, Blackett Taylor was ineffective and Apter didn't show much. Still plenty of positives though with Kenny, Rodriguez, Dalby, Bonham etc

I've had a quick look at page 12 and 13 and not sure which bits you take exception to?

Apter not playing well, ref not very good, some suggestions for H-T subs, we aren't playing very well etc.

Seemed fairly relevant at the time, were you pleased with the first half/first 80 minutes?

9 goals in last 5 games arguably more than our performances would suggest.  Scoring isn't the problem, if there was a fault today it was just not being as good as Lincoln, it wasn't like we were missing chances.

With a front 4 of Dalby, McAtee, Kenny and Rodriquez we should be able to convert the chances, its more about creating the chances and being the better team generally when we play the top 8 teams, another chance to show that on Tuesday.

In a roundabout way, I believe that you are agreeing with me?

Tables don't lie. I was referring to the stark reality of the figures at this moment. I too am expecting that particular column to improve.

I don’t think we’ll finish above them, they’re a well drilled outfit and deserve to be where they are.

Nonetheless, they have to lose at some point and are due a blip.

The optimist in me says it’s not completely inconceivable that Northampton hold them to a draw on Tuesday and then they lose at Mansfield.
We beat Reading and Blackpool, and it all looks completely different this time next week.

Rodrigues showed some great touches and Kenny has a terrific leap on him. Could really have done with a win but it was vital that we didn’t lose to keep some hopes alive. Just praying we can get three points at Reading now.

Also well worth a gander on their forum at posts from someone called Jules. He’s a proper thin skinned little weirdo with a massive irrational hatred of us every single time we play them.

They scored a really good goal, then opened us up and made some perfectly good chances on the deck in the second half. We chucked a ball in the box and a big bloke nodded it in.

So be it, who cares. But I don't really get the criticism of their style of play. Seems like the kind of stuff we'd get under Big Sam from people who'd made their mind up before a ball was kicked.

We also average 0.8 goals a game away from home, so we're hardly a thrilling watch either.

And there XG is low because of there style of play so shows what a load of bollocks all that is to many coaches today get rapped up in it all evatt was always spotting on about it means fuck all if you don’t win ours would of been low in the prem but didnt stop us getting results against arsenal ect

Still not sure which comments you disagree with @desperado?

We weren't playing well, we were 2nd best, there were a lot of comments saying Lincoln were playing well, the ref was poor, some of our players weren't at their best, the ref was against us, etc, not much to argue with?  In game comments can be valid even if we equalise later.

Tutu really struggled. Apter the same, too physical for him today.

Tutu had 2-3 players marking him when he got the ball…Apter was poor but he hasn’t played much recently… think he’ll get better.

On another note, we have a nice habit of late goals v Lincoln.

I was behind the goal when Sarcevic scored the only goal about 10 minutes before the end (Kachunga debut I think), we had arrived back in L1.

Toal winner injury time 2 years ago, I watched it on the TV at Athy Colls v Workington, Boxing Day.

Injury time equaliser this season, OG but mainly down to ACD.

Today's equaliser.

Without the 2 late goals this season Lincoln would be virtually up, but they aren't.

Are criticisms of any players allowed if we didn't lose?

I noticed him too, strange.

A holier-than-thou but tinpot mentality not seen since the likes of Doncaster and Morecambe got a stick up their arse about us.

I see there lads were bigging up confronting our fans today did the day pass peaceably.

Me and Lad went in the anchor. Was loaded with their lot.

Went for a waz and they were talking about us and how we always turn up ballooning. Felt a warm glow :D

We parked the other side of the centre as the sat nav took us in that way. Walked to the ground and back, past Spoons and The Anchor, did not see of hear a thing , lots of Police policing though.
