not having Steinsson and Muamba as miss, and certainly not Matt Taylor

and yet you rate Cohen as better?

Apart from a goal after his dad died I don't remember a single thing about him. Totally unforgettable player.

Matt Taylor was bloody brilliant. Those two goals at Stoke, pandemonium.

The one he got away at West Ham was also a belter

Aye, as well as being decent and a game changer, he always give his all

His form dipped by the end after he'd had glandular fever, and was the right time for him to go

But you can't  look at his time here and class him.as a dud or shit

Parky's achievement in getting us out of this division in his first season (under an embargo too) looks better and better every year. No expectations of him needing years to build a side. Signed Alnwick, Morais and Le Fondre for nowt and got the job done with relatively little fuss.

Three straight promotions at Wrexham too. 42% win rate over 1,000 games. Had a great managerial career.

Did brilliant at Bradford too.

I have to admit that I always underrated Parky. I didn’t like his football but you can’t deny that it’s been effective and certainly at Wrexham. Much as I despise the Welsh I’d love to see him crack promotion again this year and surely that would be an achievement never to be equalled?

This half brought back some memories.

Taylor and Steinsson both hits. Cohen was value for 65k but was nothing special and went on to do nothing else in his career. Ricketts was a solid pro, but not good enough at the time. Muamba used to frustrate me to no end, because his off the ball work was so good, yet when he had to pass the ball to a teammate you couldn't count on him. I'd still call him a hit though.

I prefer winning football too. Which is why I couldn't stand Megson

Yep winning football beating Man Utd at home last 16 in Europe stayed up no problem and Rock  bottom when he took over and had to sell Anelka .

would have got us out of league one instead of this fucking about

McAtee away somewhere last night?

Rumours he was binned from the sqaud for turning up late/pissed.

He was parked in his usual spot in the hatching of the disabled spaces at the north stand

I liked Cohen mainly coz he wasn't afraid to just kick folk to break up the play.

Well there all facts

Also a fact he fucked up massively at home to Hull

2-0 and coasting, made some odd subs, then we were hanging on at 2-2

There was nothing winning about that

Or at Burnley away on boxing day when Coyle's team was tearing us apart and the away end was as toxic as it's ever been

Posted

Was anything said about, Mcatee, RR & Simon's missing on Saturday?

Or was it just squad rotation?

Was surprised to see no RR, been impressed with the snippets with seem of him so far

Well replacing him with coyle was a master stroke megson would have had more chance of keeping us up .
It was getting toxic because people were still expecting top finishes when the tap had been turned off by Eddie Davis .

Whatever way you cut it up he was our most successful manager since Sam left

fucking about in league one and  two isn’t success it’s the bare minimum so can discount parky evatt and shu

Well there all facts

Selective.

One win against utd at home was great.

Hardly proves him to be a good manager.

He also chucked away our European adventure, after we'd done well.

That selection was on him.

Wasn't there also a West Brom debacle too?

Then there was the shambolic fans' day, the lack of players, and the increasing disconnect between the club and fans overall.

Bloke was conceited and an arse.

Turned around the doubters initially, then reversed it, and then some.

After us, he had a year at Sheffield Wednesday and a brief caretaker role at West Brom, seven years after leaving Yorkshire.

Subsequently disappeared without a trace.

Bloke was a bell.

McAtee is out for a few weeks with a hammy. Ruben got a knock in training. Not sure about the others.

No he didn’t he was told by garside no manager is throwing that away he was told what the priority was and we got spanked at Wigan next game because the players were pissed off

Dreadful management then.

Garside may have said the league is priority- though nothing "official" came out.

That notwithstanding, how Megson approached the selection was utterly pathetic.

Play the players who got to the later stages, and see how they are afterwards.

Instead, he showed no man management skills whatsoever, and lost the dressing room and fans alike.

Maybe he did it deliberately because, fundamentally, he's a cunt.
