Thanks to folk like you, successive managers have been hounded out to prevent us being dragged into non-league football. You, and thousands of football manager experts in the stands, go loyally down to the stadium for every home game with a bellyful of boos and vitriol at the ready. We might even sneak a win, but you and The Lads will be on hand to remind us all how shit the manager is because the left back was wearing flamboyant boots. Parky was hounded out, criticised, insulted from the stands and that has proven to be another win for The Lads. Giving managers a fair chance is for wimps. You have a different recollection than me. I'm not saying for one minute that Parkinson was adored but the only reason he left was because the club, under Andertwats control, was falling apart, and furthermore, under the circumstances, Parky remained professional and dignified throughout. Lt. Aldo Raine Posted February 22 Posted February 22 On that note, I see Parky's Wrexham have just moved into the play-off places in the league above The best manager we've had since Allardyce Quote

Toal (top left) passes to Bonham who then just needs to stride forward and punt it, but he dithers and we end up here... He then still doesn't punt it, opting for the short ball to Sheehan compounding the error by playing down the red line rather than the blue... ah fair enough.. In my head they passed it to him when he was marked. I stand corrected. Quote

For me, there is no way he would have resurrected us in the way IE did in that league 2 season. He's done well with reasonable squads, and now has plenty to spend. Fair play to him for that. Quote

Why give it back to Bonham to punt up field - adding extra risk - rather than Toal punt it upfield? It was poor from Toal. There was no benefit from going back and there was some risk. Bonham then did a poor job too. Quote

But personally i always prefare winning football not arsed on the style of play or if the manager is an ugly horrible cunt just win games . Winning in style like Colin Todd’s side is the cherry on the top but it’s nearly impossible to achieve regularly Edited February 22 by Farnywhite Quote

He led us with tremendous dignity through that period and will always have my respect. 2 hours ago, jmjhb said: They've spent 40M to become an above-average Championship team, but yeah Tbf they’ve had to go through three divisions, too, so I imagine there have been a couple of squad rebuilds within that period.
