This is our 39th league game & our manager seems no clearer on what his best team is than he did in August.

He was always going to make reasonable changes for this due to the pitch.

Not a game to be challenging SS on his rotation today IMO.

If it is, there should be no moaning from @Zog1 and  @masi 51.

I think it’ll be 4-3-3.

We’ll see

Love it to be a three at back as long as they stay at the back. Send Firino up for the corners but i want Toal and Johnston to concentrate on defending long balls and not thinking they are Hierro at his best

Starting 11 selections do have a whiff of a bingo machine about them. 3 or 4 changes each game with the excuse of matching up with the opposition tactics or pitch size/condition?

Nobody knows our best 11, even after all this time. With the odd rare exception, we produce underwhelming performances.

Maybe this 1 works eh Steven?

The pitch is an excuse.

You think it's not a game to be challenging him on ? Fine ... then don't.

I moved to Stourbridge a few years ago, and until then had no idea Staffordshire went so far south to border Worcestershire!! I always assumed it was the bit you see from the M6.

For the pedants Stourbridge is actually West Midlands now, but you get the point.

Staffs goes from almost Buxton in the North down to just outside Kidderminster in the South.

Not sure you get many PV here! Wolves, WBA, Villa, in that order is my experience. Never seen a blue.

Yeah i know Tamworth is in Staffordshire but you're not getting any stoke there, more likely wba or villa

I was thinking it was a wonky one. Almost wing backs but not quite.

Johnston a hybrid LB/LCB with Apter high up. Tutu playing wingback on the other side

14.35 mins in, eyes glazing over, feeling of deja vu all over again. Thinking, I've seen nothing that I couldn't do in the Horwich Sunday league, 1980-84.

Pitch isn’t a excuse they have only won twice on it anyway

It’s not been like this all season though. And to be fair, it is a bit of an excuse. It’s almost unplayable.

Shocker of a pitch dropped the standard to a non League match which Vale are comfortable with.

Have to be careful no-one turns an ankle on this poor surface

Bradford won there 2-0 two weeks ago
