Politics - Part 2

Kemi Badenoch doesn’t really need to speak in public more than once a month and she’ll do ok. In that respect, keeping her head down is proving very effective.

Sniping from the sidelines and criticising everyone clearly has merit. 🙃

This is part 2 of the Politics discussion.

As above, just the usual disingenuous approach.

Daft thing is, had the tories adopted a genuinely stronger approach to migration, rather than simple platitudes, Reform would be nothing but a small, fringe party, and Farage wouldn't even be in politics.

I can think of 5 million reasons why he really would have been.

I think it's silly anyway because most Reform voters I've come across don't want zero immigration

I don't know who they vote for but there's definitely been an increase in "send the buggers back" attitude in recent years, especially among the patriots

In any case, that Greenpeace message got it totally wrong

So then, everything we have heard from him then on defence, taxation, small businesses, 'alarm clock Britain', cancel culture, banking bastardry plus a significant list of other stuff is all conveniently pigeon holed under 'get rid of immigrants' is it? FFS.

At the very least you could have been more accurate in your 'immigrant' jibe. Encapsulate 'illegal immigration' and 'net migration' in the jibe and I'll accept it (as should everybody) as they have huge implications for security and availablity of services. Like BBC News and other nefarious left leaning outlets, better to just say 'immigrants' as part of the discredit campaign eh?

Wasn't two months ago you were all resigned to a Farage government (not me if you recall. Could end up being the biggest party but not necessarily enough for government). Faith pinned in 'the King of the North' now is it?

No - it's conveniently pigeon holed under 'lacking a coherent vision'.

Reforms manifesto doesn't even mention 'alarm clock Britain or cancel culture'. It's VERY light on anything to do with banking. Plus it's defence plans are inherently tied in with immigration (because that and the cuts to green energy are where their funding is coming from).

And it wasn't a 'jibe'. It was a reflection on what Nigel Farage and his party spend the vast majority of it's time talking to the general public about. Let's not pretend that's not the main reason they've become popular.

And you've still not actually answered my question!

PS - I don't really think I've offered much comment on Andy Burnham. I'm ambivalent about him at the moment. Although I do think his communication style might be more difficult for Reform to deal with than KS style has.

Like all Prime Ministers (even Nigel if he gets in) - I'll be starting from a blank slate and judging him on his actions and outcomes.

He won't be for much longer

As a follow up to some of the questions raised, it’s worth noting that although just 2 of the England squad (I think) were born outside of the UK (Guehi & Chalobah), most of the squad are first or second generation immigrants, from their parents or grandparents (as no doubt we all are if we go back far enough through our own family trees).

It’s reasonable to assume therefore that the migrants of today will feed positively into footballers of the future……along with every other profession the country needs (not lease to fund the pensions of an aging population).

I agree that most folk are not anti-immigration, rather pro-controlled immigration, but I think it’s naive to think the more extreme views don’t exist, particularly when we see well attended patriot marches with our Tommy and the like. Those folk are the myopic hypocrites.

PS - for those interested here is the migration heritage of the England squad:

I should also thank Bolty for the “Batty Bertie” mention before - I thought he’d forgotten about me. Can’t beat his alliterative nicknames.

I should also remind him though that I’m not a screeching leftie, just a regular Tory voter. He can’t get his head around that as doesn’t fit his stereotyped narrative.

why not?

Apparently, so somebody has been banging on about, all these slights and investigations about him are "grist to the mill" and make him stronger, we'll be coming down the road etc.......surely that person isn't massively wrong again, about one of his political heroes....😉

For what it's worth, I suspect he'll hang around for a little while longer and grift a little bit more before jumping ship

He's always said he's done nothing wrong, if he hasn't, then he won't resign/leave.......if he does go, I guess it tells us all we need to know (and what most have suspected about him) - no matter what he says in 10 minutes time, it'll all be the fault of somebody else. When GB News appeared to turned on him, that is/was a really bad sign for him I'd have thought, as he really needs them

For what it's worth, I'd much rather he didn't slope off, and stayed to run in a GE

What's this going to be then? Burying his head in the sand and waiting for it all to blow over or is he proper running off and trying to get a word in before the full truth comes out?

Is there a but coming here in this gaslighting speech?

He's just absolutely waffling and wanted an unchallenged platform to spout his rebuttals where he can't be picked apart by the interviewer.

Fuck me, he's such a twat

The most attacked MPof modern times?

I'm sure that went down well with Jo Cox's and David Amess's families.

He’s just said he’s the most threatened and in danger politician in Britain and the fucking horrid cunt might as well be stood on the grave of Jo Cox whilst making this speech.

This is a party political broadcast?

Thought when you are being investigated by Parliamentary Standards you aren't supposed to talk about it

What a waffling lying self-pitying grifting tosser.

Nothing more than free party broadcast full of lies which can’t be challenged,

I’m sure you’ve said this before and you was wrong then.
