Keir Starmer announces he is standing down as MP

The former prime minister said he would now turn his focus to international affairs.

Indeed. Getting the top gig is decent enough, the real money comes afterwards though. Even Truss is making decent money now (as well as getting her PMs pension) - the likes of Blair, Cameron and Johnson, I'm sure are absolutely raking it in these days

Champagne Socialist is the term that comes to mind.

Sunak is still an MP I believe and May saw out 5 years after being ousted

I'm doing my bit, of course, unlike all the foamy gammons who think the immigration crisis can be solved by headbutting your phone with the twitter app open.

Rupert Lowe did his bit though....

absolutely, although I don't blame him. Fuck hanging around on the back bench, when you've pretty much been turfed out of the top job by your team mates

He spent years at the Despatch Box having a go at the Tories and promising change but in the end he followed Blair, Cameron & Johnson.

He's been struggling to find a legacy but he didn't actually achieve anything

Suggestions he's after the NATO gig.

Can't see it, but he certainly wouldn't be forgotten if that came to pass.

I'd have kept him on as Foreign Sec

Well said.

Looks like something that could be rather damaging to Reform is going to drop tonight.

Well I say damaging but Farage can lie, twice, about a £5m bung and get away with it so fuck knows.

Farage could kick a crippled migrant down the street and be excused by his followers.

Just watched it all on C4 News... definitely something to answer and maybe actual law breaking but as you say, Mr F will just exploit it as another example of him against the "system".

If you don't agree with the rules then lobby for change democratically, don't simply break them and shout victim!!!

Or go and llive in some banana republic such as the USA

A Reform spokesperson said: "Reform UK has been the target of a hoax perpetuated by foreign-funded, climate change activists posing as would-be party donors. The party denies any wrongdoing.

Errrr no. Caught with their pants down.

Mind you, don’t suppose Reform voters will give a toss 🙄

There is an element to this that the people making the documentary have a very specific point to push on climate. The idea that a funded poll was produced as neutral ain’t great but hardly Watergate. How has the film been edited to deliver the message they ? Has it been edited ?

I have not seen the full programme but as I understand it other donators to Reform who have found ways round the rules were named but bleeped out in the film. This could be where NF gets in from both sides as those donators won’t want their names dragged through the mud so potentially step away, especially as they falling in the polls so the prospect of power is dropping. The other side is another potentially drawn out fraud investigation.

Sadly some of the bots/supporters will be unmoved. Imagine claiming to be a patriot and supporting a man who would the country for the right price.

The fact NF and Big Sam got caught by undercover reporters is funny but at least Sam was downing a much bigger glass of wine than NF.
