Must admit not heard of many players the other clubs have been signing, even with big price tags. Staggering how much dosh West Ham and Burnley have raised through sales.

Not exactly transfer stuff but "the youngest CEO in football" Sarah Guilfoyle at Wigan has been removed "by mutual consent" and replaced by an Anthony Cole-Johnson.

No idea why but there have been shenanigans in ownership recently. Whether this is a good thing or a bad one I can't work out.

By all accounts Danson doesn’t want to put in further investment to prop up the club so they need to explore other avenues and they decided she wasn’t the right person for the job fans not happy at all she was well liked and did a lot in the community.

Do know if there is any truth in the rumour but several players didn’t get signed back up due to high wages and Tickle sold to pay off debt also I heard only 3500 season tickets sold which is 50% less then this time last year.

Finding a buyer won’t be easy especially with Danson likely to want to keep hold of the ground for the rugby. I’m really not sure why he bought them in the first place but he’s clearly not minded to bankroll them any further. How sad.

He's a Wigan lad and also reported to be a billionaire, so the cost to him in saving the 'Tics' and covering their losses is just small change to him.

He saved them from going bust for two reasons really, to give something back to the town but mostly because the football club owned the stadium and the Wigan rugby club were their tenants.

With him buying the football club it is now the other way around.

Danson is a rugby man with no interest in football, so he will keep the football club alive but he won't be investing his money into it, so expect Wigan to struggle again this season.

He seems to be a decent bloke by all accounts and apparently is the owner of The New Statesman (a left wing political magazine), so I would imagine he would be a fair landlord to anyone who did buy the football club, but like you I can't imagine they will be an easy sell, not just because they don't own their own ground but because their support is tiny, the advertising and food income I imagine will be provided and go to stadium and not the footy club so I can't imagine much revenue being generated whilst at the same time a great deal of investment would be needed to lift the club up to Championship level.
