The Happy Duck / The Corner Bar, Wednesday night.

A Special atmosphere, everyone tingling with anticipation of the first away adventure in Europe with your team.

The last 15 minutes in the ground.

Just one moment for me stands out (among many) - Plovdiv own goal just as we started thinking we were going out of Europe on our first away day. Magic atmosphere celebrating that goal. An own goal at that!

Far tooooooooo many magical moments to pick one or two out in particular.

The travel (planes, trains and automobiles), the booze, the singing, the flags, and last but not least meeting a great bunch of people from WW made for some very happy memories. Bring it on in six months time.

good point

on the whole the football was pretty poor stuff, but the wways family grows and grows

you know theres gonna be somebody you know at just about every turn

1) Planning the trips. Never before have I hammered Travelocity, Opodo and the like.

2) The bar at Gatwick airport on our way to Varna - the first of many Euro sessions was beginning.

3) Being pissed on the plane to Varna and then on the coach to Sunny Beach

4) Falling down the steps at the Happy Duck

5) Meeting and chatting to Amir Khan about racial tension in Bolton

6) Having to be walked back to my hotel in Sunny Beach cos I was that wrecked

7) Discovering we were in the same hotel as the ??600 Exec brigade and seeing their faces in the morning when they realised we'd done it on the cheap!!

8) Being on the beach in front of the Happy Duck on the day of the game with the sun beating down thinking "it doesn't get better than this"

9) Meeting so many BWFC lads who have either given up going or don't take it as serious anymore

10) The coach from our hotel to the match in Bourgas - quality.

11) The goals in Bourgas. Another piss-poor performance, saved by a great comeback in the last ten minutes. Awesome

12) The Loko PD flares - respect for that moment it was something we are not accustomed to and it looked great

13) Doing 3 nights in Istanbul for less than ??200 when the club were charging ??335 for a day trip

14) Getting wrecked on the flight out and singing the German Bombers song whilst in mid-air on a Lufthansa flight!

15) The day of the match in Istanbul - awesome

16) Being told my face was all over the internet (as well as my sick) on the Friday afternoon - whilst most were back in Blighty, I was still on the piss in Istanbul

17) The square in Guimaraes. Surely one of the all-time great moments for any BWFC fan who was present.

18) Seeing so many other Wways members getting wrecked and making fools of themselves. Respect!

19) Drinking zero alcohol in the ground but not knowing about it until the following day

20) The beach balls! And the fountain of foam!!!

21) Vaz Te's goal - what a belter!

22) Wednesday night in Marseilles - fantastic and my favourite day of all the Euro experience.

23) Seeing a few mates who have completed their 3 year bans lapping up the Euro experience

24) Going 1-0 up in the Stade Velodrome! What a moment

25) Meeting Richard Gere in the Old Port at night

and then just realising I've posted under the wrong alias!!!!!

I`ve been lucky enough to go on all four european trips and they`ve all been superb.

I got beaten up in Bulgaria, got p*ssed in Turkey, pepper sprayed in Portugal and had a ride in a police van in Marseille and I wouldn`t swap any of it.

The night before the Plovdiv game in the Happy duck and the corner bar , outside the bar in istanbul, the squares in Guimaraes and Marseille are memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

The whole European experience was awesome and i hope we qualify next year. [-o<

=D> =D> "Please stop jumping up & down the bar is about to fall down"!! Plus the lap dancing joint just up from the corner bar - Go Go Girls I think, I might be wrong? a bit dodgy with the local mafia running it but some decent snatch.

Swapping my Wanderers shirt for a Marseille Ultras shirt with one of their top lads who looked after us and took us to their pub.

Meeting Didier Deschamp at the airport who autographed my new shirt.
