Cheshirewhite Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Who played No9 in last nights friendly, he had some pace. Difficult with the spanish commentry but I think they called him Smith Any ideas?
Mounts Kipper Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 it was Johan smith, it is the first time i have seen him and he is seriously quick, suprised sam played him upfront on his own with Vaz te wide, would have thoght it makes sense to play vaz te upfront and smith out wide.
Big E Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 maybe he will come good this season and be the reason why we havent signed a striker :D/ :D/
riley_89 Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 he also played in last seasons aisa trophy for us
forever white Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 he also played in last seasons aisa trophy for us On the left wing if I remember full of pace then but without the ability to cross. I presumed then he was with us solely for pace . Maybe Sam sees something in the lad after all.

HomerJay Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 smith may be quick, but in the 3 or 4 times ive seen him play, i have yet to see any real footballing ability in him.

Must've been at Ashton Gate, Bristol City. That match was on Sky on a midweek night. Arnee's goal was a touch of class. Did a Cruyff turn to dummy the keeper, and about three defenders, then buried it into the roof.
