wiggy Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Is it just me or is it more fun beating Spurs than anyone else? Just out of interest, can anyone tell me how many times Davies has been sent off?
H Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 [quote = it's game one and the doom and gloom merchants have us beaten already ! why not try a radical thing like supporting the team rather than knocking it . coyote0_14 From a Spuds fan. Is it just symptomatic of football generally.
tylswhite Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 davies has a great temperament, he never loses his cool even though he takes a lot of knocks in a match. i dont think i can remember him ever getting sent off for us. shows theyve been eating the old SOUR GRAPES.

Burndens Bogs Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 (edited) Maybe someone off here should reply to the post - And tell them to stop whining over getting beat fair and square, and point out that mard arsed shandy drinking southern softies, often get beat oop north. forever white Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Thats a great read I thought Bolton fans moaned. reading through the replies though ive picked a couple of comments 'I fret most about is Chris Hughton with his idiot board bristling with moves that might work on a chess board but not against Big Sam's team of has-beens, never-beens and failed wannabees' 'We looked like Man City but failed to play as well as them' However there was one sensible reply 'alot of teams including the top 4 will lose to Bolton at home this season.'
tkonion Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I went on one of there forums on the 'vital football' website.pointing out the lack of credit we where given for saturdays result.Got the usual 'we're a bigger club' than you response that seems to be spouted regularly by supporters of under achieving 'sleeping giants'.However it seems to have sparked either a cage fight or a beauty contest between Big Sam,Martin Troll and Arsene Wenger.Who do you think would come out on top?
jazza Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Wenger is the winner I think... he is the only one without an inflated head
Whites man Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Long may this moaning continue, you only hear it when we have the cheek to beat one of our "betters".
mickadoo Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 If the premiership was decided by a cage fight to the death we'd win it by a mile this year. Then chelsea would probably pay Ares god of war to manage them and win it from then on.
Brookie Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I've read lots of posts from disappointed Spurs fans, and the message seems to be the same from them all - Spurs couldn't "match us physically". Am I missing something because I am only seeing the Bolton side of things? In a game where there were no bookings, and only one serious foul (and that was on Diouf), how can they claim that Bolton were "physical", and even "violent"? Or are they just using the southern media hype to explain their poor performance?
mummywhycantieatcrayons Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 It's possible to out-muscle and be stronger than a team, and yet still be within the rules of the game. I thought we looked stronger than them - it was like men against boys at times. Especially when Jenas was involved in the play.
