September 13, 200619 yr I never ever get tired of seeing that goal Sh*t hot! Frankie ran towards us in the Burnden Paddock but I wouldn't have known until seeing the replay. Like most I was going ballistic and delirium was setting in. I always remember we lost 3-2 and Mick Mills was playing for them. Other than that, the goal does stand out as one of the greatest ever. Sam Allardyces against Sunderland was a memorable one too. Wouldn't it be fooking superb to have compilations of all John Byroms and John McGinlays BWFC goals?
September 13, 200619 yr Gudni's 'better than Beckham' effort was superb! I'm too young to remember 'that' goal but it probably the best!
September 13, 200619 yr Looking back at that Frankie Worthy goal even the referee was applauding him! Superb goal that was!
September 13, 200619 yr It is the best, though I thought Tony Caldwell's 35 yard volley from the touchline was up there. Think we played Doncaster and won 3-1, wonder if anyone has it from the Roadrunner collection or summat.
September 13, 200619 yr Looking back at that Frankie Worthy goal even the referee was applauding him! Superb goal that was! Started watching the Whites in about '92, these ones stick out for me. Eidurs goal in the Worthington Cup v Wimbledon. Best goal I've seen at the Reebok. Also Mixu's against Swindon. Best goal I've seen against Bolton was David Speedie for Leicester (I think) against us at Burnden. Volley from about 300 yards out if I remember rightly.
September 13, 200619 yr I remember a 30 yard cracker from Nathan Blake at Burnden against West Brom on a Sunday on TV i think we won 1-0
September 13, 200619 yr John Thomas' against Gillingham on a cold wet Tues night (still think it was a cross) or Phil Brown's OG against Reading - what a diving header that was

Yup, I remember that - it was for Leicester and was a Sunday game I think. Horrible little fooker that Speedie was, that was some goal. My old man reckons when Frankie scored against Ipswich it's the first time he's seen a ref clap at something in a match. Not sure how he remembers that as he was on the Paddock at the time...maybe from TV replays.

I'm sure most people know this but for those that don't , the ball boy cheering behind the goal is none other than Mr Julian Darby!
September 13, 200619 yr I remember a 30 yard cracker from Nathan Blake at Burnden against West Brom on a Sunday on TV i think we won 1-0 The highlight of a properly shite match that. Pitch was knackered and it was the first game I think I ever went to where a Sky TV time change basically ruined the atmosphere (12.30pm I think). I remember saying to a mate of mine that if this was the future, the game for those that turn up would die on its arse. How wrong can you be. Anyway, best goal.... ermmmm... Always have a soft spot for superJohn's pen against Preston, simply because I celebrated that goal longer than any other (I got in at 5am the following morning still chanting "who put the ball in the Preston net?") For sheer "how the fcuk did he do that?", it'd have to be Winnie's 40 yard cracker against Wrexham. Showing my age now...
September 13, 200619 yr Winnie Winnie Winne........ Frankie's best goal by miles, I was Sat in Paddock Seats as a young 7 yr old. Mind you Bazzer Cowdrill's disallowed volley v Swindon league cup epic, would take some beating if a legitamte goal.
September 13, 200619 yr I definitely think Worthys was the best i have seen, thank god i was there to see it, also i think J.J.s free kick against Villa was also top draw, reminded me of the one i think cubillas scored in the world cup in the 70s.
September 13, 200619 yr dean crombie at wembley against torquay but my favourite is the goal that never was barry (bendy legs) cowdrill against swindon i think in the what ever it was called cup and was ruled offside. any goal what super john scored against wolves always made chuckle
September 13, 200619 yr Mixu at Wembley against Reading... Admittedly many of the Reading team were down with cramp but it was a wonderful team goal and capped a great comeback.
September 13, 200619 yr I never ever get tired of seeing that goal The ballboy behind the goal for that goal is Julian Darby so im informed
September 13, 200619 yr The ballboy behind the goal for that goal is Julian Darby so im informed You learn something new every day.................. unfortunatly today isn't one of them For some reason I took a camera to that game and got a great picture............. of them running back to the centre circle . I also got Gerald Sinstadt's autograph that day.
September 13, 200619 yr Len Cantello against Cambridge give you that one 6-3? in the ebankment, probably about 3500 on!
September 13, 200619 yr give you that one 6-3? in the ebankment, probably about 3500 on! 6-1 and just over 8k on according to Mr Sheppards site Remember Dusan Nicolic scoring an absolute belting volley against Cardiff round about that time. Said then that it was the best goal I've ever seen. Does anyone else remember it?
September 13, 200619 yr 8,016,and a Kiddo hat trick the best goal i can remember being scored against us was also that season....Jerry Murphy for Palace at Burnden in the League Cup.
September 13, 200619 yr There has been some cracking Bolton goals scored over the years and Frankies has to be up there with the best, I was on the Manny Road terrace. The Bullet header by Allardyce from the edge of the box....... the Wembley goal by Crombie when he ran from his own box, beat about 386 Torquay players on his way to the other end and plonked it in the net.......and who can forget Nicky Hunt's power driver just inside the near post at the the Reebok to silence the Liverpool following.
September 13, 200619 yr As a young boy on on the Burden Terrace I remember our keeper scoring from a drop kick. Think it was big Jim?? Great goal and the first and last goalkeeper goal I have ever seen (live).
