Wigan White Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Jussi Cid Mikalik A O'brien sinclar (if hunt or joey dont make it) Nolan Campo McCann Diouf Davies Anelka However I would like to see stellios play some part so that we get two men on the wings pos in the place of McCann which I know leaves the midfield short but its an option
Horwich Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Is that the same Campo who hasnt been registered to play in europe?
scottgreen Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 What has Guthrie done, not to be involved?
MickyD Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Or in other words, pick out 11 players, 1xgoalkeeper, 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2x forwards and call them a POSSIBLE STARTING LINE-UP FOR THURSDAY. Here's mine then: GK Ali Al-Habsi RB Mikalik CB Meite CB A O'Brien LB Jlloyd Samuel RM Stelios CM Nolan CM Guthrie CM Speed LM Gardner ST Davies See, I don't have any inside info on probable starting line-ups but mine's no weaker than yours but with a different system.
Parker Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 I think the team will be: GK: Jaaskelainen RB: McCann CB: O'Brien CB: Meite LB: Gardner RM: Guthrie CM: Nolan CM: Speed LM: Diouf CF: Davies CF: Anelka Davies will drop in on the right and side when required, moving Guthrie inside Come on you whites
MickyD Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 is meite available? That's my point. It doesn't really matter when you're just guessing a starting line-up. It's not like there's money on it or anything.
Doctor Tongue Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 I think the team will be: GK: Jaaskelainen RB: McCann CB: O'Brien CB: Meite LB: Gardner RM: Guthrie CM: Nolan CM: Speed LM: Diouf CF: Davies CF: Anelka McCann at RB - footballing suicide! For me (assuming it may be the wrong time to introduce Sinclair); Meite if fit at RB, Lubo in the middle with AOB Not sure if they will risk Anelka - if the dont - Alonso in the midfield.
BWFC = Priceless Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 GK- Jussi RB - Campo CB -Michalik CB -O'Brien LB - Gardner M - Speed M - Guthrie M - McCann F - Nolan F - Diouf F - Davies If everyone is fit then: Jussi J. O'Brien Miete A. O'Brien Gardner Campo Speed Nolan Davies Diouf Anelka
Fleetwood White Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 what about bratten i think we should give him a chance in europe if he isnt getting a look in for the premiership
TroySwoosh Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Seems Al Habsi's set to start http://www.omanobserver.com/Daily/Sports/Sports3.htm
bwfcol Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 CAMPO CANNOT PLAY ON THURSDAY SO HE CANNOT BE IN ANY POSSIBLE LINE-UP Jussi Cid Michalik O'Brien Gardner Nolan Speed Mc Cann Diouf Guthrie Davies
HomerJay Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Seems Al Habsi's set to start http://www.omanobserver.com/Daily/Sports/Sports3.htm surely not....
Doctor Tongue Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 surely not.... After Jussi's howler for Wet Spam's first goal I would hope Al Habsi is playing.
Weststand Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Jussi Samuel Michalik O Brien Gardner McCann Nolan Guthrie Stellios Diouf Davies Alhabsi Cid Alonso Speed Braaten Andranik We will Shit Um
pete harry Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 After Jussi's howler for Wet Spam's first goal I would hope Al Habsi is playing. First? Did they score more than one, then? Yes, he cocked up, but how many times has he saved us or kept us in a match? Ffs, surely you don't advocate giving a keeper his first team debut in the biggest match in the clubs history?
peebles Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Megson keeps saying the league is the priority, he will ring the changes.

Ffs, surely you don't advocate giving a keeper his first team debut in the biggest match in the clubs history? Yes - I do saying its not the biggest match in the clubs history. That was against Middlesborough last game of the season 4-5 years ago. If you think Jussi flapping at a ball in the 6 yard box and leading to the West Ham goal was a recent phenomenon; then you are deluding yourself.

You seem to have a vendetta against Jussi and this goal. I agree he didn't cover himself in glory but he was competing with about 3 other players for the ball. He's not always going to make decent contact. What about Meite's chance for a clearing header - teed up volleyball style instead?

What about Meite's chance for a clearing header - teed up volleyball style instead? Meite was back peddling. He stopped the ball going through to an unmarked West Ham player - cant remember who it was. Was just pointing out that a 'top-class' keeper would have made that initial ball his. Jussi - fantastic shot-stopper - world class keeper - not in a million years. Thing is if Hunt had made a mistake like this - this board would have been full of it. Why not give Al Habsi a chance (or Walker for that matter) - they will still be here in January. I admire Jussi for the loyalty he has shown to the club and for that he deserves enormous credit. He is a reasonable keeper - but he has this achilles heel called 'crosses in the 6-yard box' - oh and kicking.
Doctor Tongue Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Are you bumming Yatesy? I'm sure theres a joke in there some where, ....... I'm missing it though, your attempts at mirth are just to clever for me... No doubt A&E is overrun with people who did get it and they are dealing with an epidemic of people suffering with split-sides as a result of your comedy genius.
TotalBelief2024 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 A very sad day for the club. The first time we got into the UEFA we put a weak team out for a few games, a real kick in the teeth for the fans who travel but also for all fans who watched as the club battled to get qualification. Last year, we sweated on the last day and celebrated when we made it to Europe. We play for a 0-0 at home to a massive club Braga, and now put out the reserves in Munich. Why bother to try and qualify for Europe only to treat it like a joke. I know many will point to the importance of Sunday, but why even give a damn about staying up if this is the limit to the ambition. It means that the future of the club has no goal. I hope to God that we don't get a thrashing from Klose etc. This would be a huge blow to morale. BWFC are now a club who only have one aim, and that is to keep in business. All other aims of trophies are gone. Of course nobody is saying we would win the UEFA, but you have to at least try. We should have resigned from the competition and saved the airfare.
carrick loyalist Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Squad: Jaaskelainen, Michalik, A O'Brien, Gardner, Guthrie, Nolan, Speed, Alonso, Davies, Al Habsi, Samuel, Teymourian, Braaten, Stelios, McCann, Cid, Sinclair, Sissons. Happy with this under the circumstances.
