YATESY Posted May 1, 2008 Author Posted May 1, 2008 (edited) Legend indeed, but will he not just be on the scottish channel? Surely, us south of the border will have to make do with Smiley Matt Smith.......... UEFA Cup Live ITV 4 Fiorentina v RangersFiorentina v Rangers (Kick-off 7.45pm). Andy Walker introduces coverage of the semi-final second-leg clash at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. The Gers are potentially just 90 minutes away from their first European final in 36 years and manager Walter Smith will want his side to replicate the performance they produced in the previous round against Sporting Lisbon, when they left the Portuguese capital with a 2-0 victory. That result came after a goalless draw at Ibrox, and the Gers find themselves in exactly the same position this evening. Commentary from Archie Macpherson, with analysis by Fraser Wishart. Subsequent programmes subject to change Looks like ITV4 are grabbing the STV coverage lock-stock-and-barrel. We will even be treated to the charms of Archie Macpherson on commentary (surely with subtitles for us lot south of the border!?) Edited May 1, 2008 by YATESY
scottgreen Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Fair enough......... Archie Macpherson - another comedy legend!
enzo gambaro Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Wasn't Fraser Wishart the bloke who was with Walker on Wembley Way when Dave Higson interviewed him before the Reading play-off final?
The True Marple White Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 We should all be in Italy on the piss now! Bloody team selection!!!1
Churchill Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Rangers are sh*t,we'd of put 10 past them if we'd of got through,Megson wants sacking for putting a second string out against Sporting,we'd of leathered Fiorentina aswell 5-0 in't first leg!F*ck it im off to the Reebok for a protest!! Just thought id say it before someone else does!
Zico Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 you know what I heard why the players were so p?ssed off about being left behind for the lisbon game? because not only did they want to play in it but also because they resented the fact they got left behind by megson who's priority is the ?1M bonus he gets if we stay up...... that's what I heard so it is
peebles Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Wasn't Fraser Wishart the bloke who was with Walker on Wembley Way when Dave Higson interviewed him before the Reading play-off final? Yes it was. Former Rangers player (theres an idea for a Rangers game, in addition to the usual Republic of Ireland internationals). He is now Player's Union Rep for Scotland I believe.

markh2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Andy Walker - top man, great striker , Frazer Wishart did come down for one of our Wembley appearances in 1995.
jules_darby Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Walker is up there in my all time BWFC players. It's not the same for everyone though...remember in a bar in Marseilles, some BWFC folk were rather upset with someone (Casino I think) for lauding him...can't remember why, probably the Celtic connection...
Smiley Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 some of you are going to cash in big time with your tickets!
bolty58 Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Manchester will be taken over. Any of you got tickets, be ready for a big pay day. What a superb result last night
carrick loyalist Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 For those who have tickets and want to sell hold out till the last minute, i live in a Rangers strong hold and i know some of these boys will pay a serious fortune. let the media circus push the price of your tickets through the roof then cash in at the last minute.

I wouldn't fancy my chances of standing on a street corner in Manchester and getting out alive with a few grand from selling 2 tickets.
Churchill Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 (edited) Aye,i can see a fair few people getting their tickets taken off them, also wouldn't suprise me if the Fire exits just happen to fly open!! Edited May 2, 2008 by tonygreen1981

M G WHITES Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 (edited) Still dont know why he celebrated in front of a empty Embankment Edited May 2, 2008 by M G WHITES
peebles Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Still dont know why he celebrated in front of a empty Embankment I think after playing in front of 50000 at Celtic Park it was an ironic reflection on the path his career had taken. (in other words he was takin the pish).
jules_darby Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Still dont know why he celebrated in front of a empty Embankment Loved that celebration - 2 arms in the air - happy days!
