Transfer Update

Current situation on a few transfer targets.

Veloso

We are trying to tie up a ?6 million deal for him in the next few weeks and Sporting seem keen on it but him and his agent arent too keen and are trying to get a "bigger" move.

Distin

Has other options and is very unlikely to come to us.

Sean Davis

Battling with Wigan, Blackburn and Sunderland to sign him on a free.

Paul Robinson

This is most likely of the four to happen for obvious reasons.

Come on you whites =D>

It's june, they've all gone on there jolly's!

said on SSN this morning that Citeh and Arse have enquired about Veloso...

If there was any doubt, sounds like Davies has no thoughts of leaving

Davies at home in Bolton

?It had been up and down for a while at Southampton and Blackburn ? but now I am captain of Bolton Wanderers, still in the Premier League and really looking forward to next season.?

?I feel like I have been here forever at Bolton,? the front man said. ?It?s my home and it has, without doubt, been the best time of my whole career.

...apart from December and January last season when you couldn't hit a barn door from 5 yards eh Kev!! :yahoo:

Tamudo alerts Prem clubs

Premier League clubs have stepped up their interest in Raul Tamudo after Espanyol decided to let the influential striker leave for just ?2.5million.

The 31-year-old has been a regular in the Espanyol first-team for close to ten seasons but now it seems the Periquitos have decided to cash in according to Catalunya Radio.

The Spaniard scored six times in 26 games last season as he helped the club to miraculously survive the drop and it would seem his efforts have not gone unnoticed.

Sunderland, Bolton, Portsmouth and top flight new boys Wolves and Birmingham have all been monitoring the front man's situation, with his cheap buy-out clause seemingly making him an attractive proposition.

Fans favourite

Espanyol had agreed to let Tamudo leave last summer but for the slightly higher price of ?4million. However, the skipper was taken off the market after a lack of interest in his services.

That is unlikely to happen again as clubs clamber to claim a player who has bagged 129 league goals in his nine seasons in Spain.

Midfielder Ivan de la Pena could follow fans' favourite Tamudo out of the club if he fails to agree a new deal in the coming weeks.

Michael Ciani has admitted that he is likely to leave Lorient this summer with the Premier League his favoured destination.

The 25-year-old has attracted interest from fellow Ligue 1 sides Bordeaux and PSG after an impressive season in the French top flight.

However, reports in France suggest that Premier League duo Bolton and Fulham are readying bids and the defender admits he would jump at the chance to move to England.

Ciani is likely to cost in the region of 3million Euros and despite a preference to move across the Channel he insists he would be happy to remain in France.

"If I have to stay in France, it would only be for such big clubs, otherwise I would prefer to go abroad," he told Aujourd'hui Sport.

"I heard about interest from Paris. It is a very good trail for me. I am happy to see big clubs are attracted.

"I know coach Antoine Kombouare (new PSG manager) has appreciated me as he already wanted to sign me when he was at Valenciennes.

"There are clubs interested so I will surely leave Lorient this summer.

Oh shit, looks like we might be beaten to a star signing by the other Wanderers

Wolves to beat Bolton & Wigan to ?1m Newcastle ace?

04:50 PM 10 June, 2009

Reports suggest Wolves will spend ?1m on Newcastle's Nicky Butt.

The 34-year-old midfielder is under contract until 2010 and was the subject of bids from Bolton and Wigan during the last transfer window.

Both ?1m offers were rejected then but, now that the entire Newcastle squad is up for sale, a switch to Wolves for Butt could be on.

Megson out

butt was the best midfielder on the pitch when we played 'em

im not a mccann hater but id swap him for butt

Megson wants craft not graft

if this be the case well done Mr Megson, you're part way round to winning over the nay-sayers, next stop boots for some hair dye!

Another Bolton v Blackburn transfer target, how many is this already?

Bolton and Blackburn are both chasing Preston's speedy winger Danny Mayor.

The teenager has yet to make his senior debut for his Championship club but impressed during a loan spell at Tranmere Rovers in League One.

That leaves North End facing a fight to hold on to the 18-year-old.

I know I'm being stoopidly optimistic, but I'd like 2-3 significant signings by the time pre-season training starts ......... which is when ?

Burkina Faso striker Moumouni Dagano, currently playing for Qatar outfit Al-Khor, is on Bolton's radar. He once scored nine goals in 66 games for Sochaux.
