So what exactly can't you buy in Bolton, that every other town in England has ?

A f?ckin dry cleaners for a start, needed a suit dry cleaning in a hurry,(well next day) so thought I'd go into town today, was sure there'd be a 24 hour return one somewhere, not a f?ckin one that I could find.

Surely that's a sign of the decline, when it doesn't cater for people who wear suits occasionally? the place is a kip

if any one spills blood on their shirt on Saturday, they're knackered for getting it cleaned

couldn't see it, walked all over the place looking, was on bradshawgate down as far as that cash generator, asked in a few other shops and was told they had all shut. I had it in my head there was one there too in fairness

The only one i've ever used in Bolton was on Derby Street near the uni, that's probably a kebaby now.

Sure there is one near to were the entrance was to the Great Lever end

theres one in harwood but we don't want riff raff here

I signed upto the forum to see what they were talking about when it all first came about (EDL)

Anyway cause of this they send out emails to my address..

Here is the one on Bolton.

?riends of EDL

We now approach Saturday March 20th, and the protest in Bolton. This message is a few words about what to expect on the day.

First of all, well done to all who attended the London demonstration, it was a fantastic success. We had our say, and, even though we don't agree with the communists of the UAF/SWP, we do believe they have the right to free speech, despite them not believing in our right to free speech.

There were 50 arrests in London, 48 of which were the communists, our two arrests were both minor enough for the police to release them back into the protest without charge. Our goal for Bolton is for there to be ZERO arrests.

Please volunteer on the forum if you are willing to do some stewarding, as the stewards did a marvellous job last time and will do so again. Everyone do remember that the stewards are 100% EDL through and through, and back them up at every opportunity. Any enemy of our stewards are an enemy of EDL.

If a steward asks you to leave the demonstration please do so without fuss, any complaints can be handled later, though a steward will not ask you to leave for nothing. Racism and violence will not be tolerated. You have all no doubt heard about the UAF/SWP infiltrators that were caught doing Nazi salutes in london. If you see any one doing it in Bolton please inform a steward and they will be ejected immediately.

For this demonstration, we are not having a 'march' in the technical sense. We will be mustering at a location to be given out later, and then escorted by the police to the demonstration point. This is because the police and EDL believe this muster and escort is to the benefit of the safety of EDL demonstrators in case they come under attack from UAF thugs. This also makes it much safer for the general public of Bolton whos safety is of course a major priority for EDL. So please do not speak of it as a 'march', speak of it as an escort to the demonstration.

The escort, will very likely stop quite often as the police clear any obstructions ahead, or control traffic, or wait the back of our group to catch up. Please expect these stops and remain patient while it occurs.

If there are any hold ups throughout the day, information will be passed via the stewards. If they don't have the information yet, remain calm and patient until they do.

If you have a megaphone, please do not bring it without full consent from EDL leadership. If you bring one without EDL consent you may be asked to hand it in for the duration of the demo, and if you refuse, be asked to leave the demo. Some things were said via megaphone in London that were not on message with EDL leadership.

Do not sing any of the 'Allah' songs, they are not sanctioned by EDL leadership.

Members of the press in Bolton will have their credentials checked by the police, so there is no need for anyone to take it upon themselves to ask for press cards. We need a fair hearing from the press, and calling them names, or insulting them does not help our cause. We all know we have received some disgusting and inaccurate reports in the press but this does not mean ALL members of the press are against us. There are a good many who are for us, and a good many who are totally neutral. So, keep this in mind. We will have people who are ready to give interviews to the press, any press who desire an interview, please see a 'team leader' steward and they will point you in the right direction.

Bolton is a massive opportunity for EDL to show the world that we can peacefully protest, and the world is indeed watching.

This protest will have a much more defined structure than previous, and we believe you will all enjoy the protest immensley as well as having our say. We will not ever submit to the radicals. We will not tolerate their intolerance. We will stand firm and further the cause of the EDL.

At some point in the day, we will sing one or both of the following songs:

1: To the dads army tune

Who do you think you are kidding Mr Jihad

If you think we're on the run

We are the boys who will stop your little game

We are the boys who will make you think again

So who do you think you are kidding Mr Jihad

If you think old England's done

2: Land of hope and glory

Land of hope and glory

Mother of the free

How shall we extol thee

Who are born of thee

Wider still and wider

Shall thy bounds be set

God who made thee mighty

Make thee mightier yet

God who made thee mighty

Make thee mightier yet

-----------

Another important thing to note is that the UAF will, as usual, be trying their best to goad us to get a reaction out of us. They will be calling us 'scum' which is the very thing that two Luton citizens were arrested for, so we'll see if anyone shouting 'scum' at us get arrested!

We strongly urge you not to react to this, but to react in a positive way by giving the V for victory sign and smiling in response. Don't wave, as predictably, pictures of people waving at them in London were put up as nazi salutes *sigh*. You can't grow apples on a pear tree so no point trying to debate with them, save your breath for singing loud and proud.

We have been allocated a car park, for coaches, minibuses and cars. For those people wanting to reserve a spot on the car park for their vehicle(s) email police.liaison@englishdefenceleague.org you will need to mention your name, and the name of your regional or national organiser for verification, and what vehicle type(s) you want in there. The police will be having a strong presence in this car park to prevent UAF thuggery and vandalism. Please get these details to me by Thursday afternoon at the latest, and you will receive an email on Thursday night with details of which car park to use.

Please do remember that this is a protest, and not a day trip beano, have a few drinks if you wish, but remember to stay sharp. A celebratory drink afterwards is of course fine. Always better to drink after the protest, not before.

See you all in Bolton.

No surrender!

theres one in harwood but we don't want riff raff here

aye but they don't have experience of cleaning expensive suits, just farmers dungarees, so I left it :D

That's worse than most of the shite on a wways song thread.

I wonder how long it took the lyrical mind trust at the EDL to write that gem

Whatever your beliefs, this march/confrontation is nothing but bad for Bolton.

The cost for businesses and policing it, plus the legacy of bad feeling it could leave in the community is a disaster.

They could have sorted all the fooking potholes in town for the amount they'll spend on this.

The march has cost Bolton Council plenty but nowhere near the ?50m needed to properly fix the roads.

GMP on the other hand have drafted people in from all other GM area apart from wiggin (who've been told they've to police the wiggin game on minimum staff)so imagine that doesn't come cheap.

One thing to bear in mind is later in the year when people are whinging about lack of funds for Traffic Orders St Georges Day parades and Remeberance sunday parades this is where the budget has been spent.

A lot less time than it would take the mentally retarded communist arsewipes in the ANaL/UAF/SWP camp.

In my eyes both camps are as retarded as each other.

The only good communist is a dead one.

Is this gong to be the reason only 250 Bolton fans turn up at Goodison on Saturday then ???

No, they just cant be arsed having there shoelaces nicked...

I am interested to know -

- what instances of Islamic extremist or jihadist activity in Bolton have been reported in the press?

I believe the answer may be, erm, none. This gives you quite a good idea of what the EDL are in fact all about.

There was a guy arrested on terrorism charges and then released without charge a while ago.

I see. Clearly an extremely grave and serious matter in Bolton then.
