October 10, 201312 yr Watched 5 minutes of Machete last night and thought - "what a pile of wank!", before switching it off. Did it get any better? As long as you take it for what it is and what it is supposed to be, Machete is fucking ace.

October 10, 201312 yr Saw "Filth" at AMC at weekend (£4.80 with a Spinningifleds card, you can shove your £9 at Printworks from now on) Ive not read the book so cant compare, read a few Irvine Welsh books but it gets tiresome trying to decipher the dialect. A decent watch, at times very funny, at other times miserable and a bit disturbing

October 11, 201312 yr I read 'Porno' by Irvine Welsh a few years ago, that was all in Scotch too - took me ages to read every page It's cracking. Not only is it in Scottish, all the people have different accents. Y'ken.
October 11, 201312 yr It's cracking. Not only is it in Scottish, all the people have different accents. Y'ken. Read the prequel to trainspotting called 'skagboys' a few month ago. Same as the others. Good book but bloody hard to get through because of most of it being written in a Scottish dialect. Went watching filth also last night. Really enjoyed it but obviously a lot missing from the book. Laughed every time mccavoy gave a sly look to the audience when he shafted someone.
October 23, 201312 yr Over the last couple of nights I've watched I Spit On Your Grave 2 and also Odd Thomas. First one was pretty much along the lines of the first one but had that 'straight to DVD feel'. Note for the squeemish: You actually see a man's plums flattened in a vice. Odd Thomas was decent. Was done in a slightly off-beat way but I found it enjoyable. I've not read the book(s) mind.
