Been busy watching fillums lately as theres fook all on telly.

Despite its shit title, Man on a Ledge had lots of twists and turns. 8/10

Impossible -was a bit predictable but had plenty of 'what would I do?' moments 6/10

Django -Tarrantino at his most playful, the Klan hoods scene was very funny 9/10

Argo - I can never take a yank 'factual' film seriously but enjoyed the story 6/10

I saw the Devil - Best fillum I've seen in a good while, watching someones achillies slice through put me off my chicken wings 10/10

Seven Psychopaths - 4/10. Very poor 2nd half of the film. Had lots of potential. If Tarantino had got a grip it could have been a real cracker. Some great characters in it, but script drifted.

Hitchcock - 7/10. (I think 3 of that is for Scarlett Johansson!). Easy going, easy moving film. Ended up reviewing all the cast, facts & figures about Psycho afterwards on Wiki. Which lead me to finishing the night studying ground plans of Bin Laden's Pakistani hideaway!

For the investigative types out there, how did Hitchcock lead me to Bin Laden?

Been recommended "Searching for Sugar Man".... anyone seen it?

watched this last night

bit of a mental story

so there's a bloke living like a bum in Detroit unaware that he's selling millions of records in South Africa, where they all thought he'd topped himself live on stage years earlier!

9/10

And bigger than Elvis over there!!

If you look into him a bit more, he's now touring the world quite considerably. So hard to believe he's still in the shack of a house anymore.

yeah, it said at the end of the film he gave all his money to family/friends and stayed in the house where he's always lived

tempted to get tickets for his London gig

First thing I did was check out his tour & then downloaded the soundtrack album. Good stuff.

He's had bad live reviews though.

Wanky art house shit

Literally nothing happens

I wouldn't be that harsh because the film ending pretty much where it started is I think the whole point but it was disappointing after unanimously excellent reviews. Can't get bored with Philip Seymour Hoffman in anything though.

Wreck it Ralph

Brilliant

8.5/10

Geeky, funny and family all roles into one

And the fact that they cast John Reilly as Ralph just adds magnificence

3 this week:

Battleship; absolutely horrific. Tried 3 times but it's just dogshit

Gambit; Cameron Diaz kept me awake for 40 mins but I still fell asleep. Another pile of bogwank

Argo; really enjoyed it. Ok it's not historically accurate, but I thought it was well delivered an constantly interesting. Love Alan Arkin's character; Argo fuck yourself. Excellent

Ha, same here I had to google to check after 5 mins

But then I had Reilly in my head for the whole film.

another great character is Jane lynch as Calhoun

Surely the character was written with her in mind

I'm looking forward to 'Community' coming out shortly. It's a British film along the lines of Eden Lake.

Hmmmmmmmm

I saw this at the Mile High horror Film Festival and all i can say is wow i wish i didn't watch this horrible film. At the beginning it seemed like it had potential to be a creepy movie the plot seemed like it was simple enough. Until they added a dumb little plot twist into the mix which made the movie go down hill. Well i'm not one for cult leader or cult town movies but this is stupid. It starts with 2 film makers shooting a documentary about a place called "The Estate" which supposedly is a bad place to go. So they set up an interview with a member of the Estate to talk about life living there. They find the place which is just crappy Apartment complex/town home that looks like everyone living there is messy and disorganized. So they find the mans house and a couple creepy kids tell them he is dead and he killed himself. Then the say you wanna see something? and they take the Protagonists to a dead rat and bird they killed. This is called Stage 1. So after that they show stage 2 which is a dying cat they kill right in front of them. At this point i Would leave but then the second plot twist comes in and the lead protagonist girl is looking for this infamous weed the people living in the estate grow. So She lies and tells the Male protagonist they should find the crop to get a good camera shot.(This is exactly how it plays in the movie i'm not just writing the plot poorly to make it sound worse it already sucks). So this weed is grown with dead body parts in the fertilizer and it makes everyone crazy. And all the people that live there Growl like retarded wanna be monsters without any actually deformities or wolf like transformations. All in all this movie is stupid and should never be watched by anyone! The characters ae unlikeable, the cinematography is poor, the plot is stupid, there are no thrills and the Antagonist is just straight stupid. Awful movie, awful plot DO NOT watch this awful piece of trash. Think Hostel(without gore and sex) meets Red State meets weird transsexual cult leader.

I was thinking Fat Bob having a Falling Down breakdown going around with snooker balls in a sports sock and Paul as the only one who can take him down or he's barred. I'll book my limo for the Oscars now the shall I?
