Finally got round to watching The Hunger Games last night....

Pretty decent.

Took ages to get going though,it did my head in as you could tell quite clearly it is based on a book,in which I hadn't read.

You would splatter the main lass also.

7.5/10

Fancied a good old fashioned horror flick last night so watched The Innkeepers which I've had downloaded for a while.

Now, I've seen a lot of shit films in my time but this was up there with the worst of them.

Absolutely pointless shite. 1.5/10

Argo - 7/10

Zero Dark Thirty - 7/10

The Thing (2011) - 4/10 (great graphics, modelling, cgi, etc)

Read up about both Argo and ZDT afterwards, got slated for a lot inaccuracies and mistruths. From our point of view, they stated in Argo that the British Embassy turned away the 6 US officials..... when in reality we took them in until we ourselves came under attack, so the Canadians took them in. They could've quickly mentioned that, rather than telling the complete opposite.

Yep, watching it now. Corner House type movie.

Very good. More Dylanesque than jazz, great story though. Gets 8+ on IMDB.

Seven Pyschopaths

was good, funny, tried to be a bit to clever for it's own good but a got a good random storyline going on

and it's got sam rockwell and christopher walken in it, so it's good by default

Usually find Rockwell quite irritating but thought he was superb in Moon.

Watched 'Mama' last night.

A couple of genuinely creepy moments but could've been so much better.

Ending was poor to say the least.

5.5/10

Saw Argo Saturday then Flight last night.

Although Argo was ok 7/10 I cannot see why its being tipped to win all the awards all of a sudden.

Flight was excellent 9/10, both me and wifey came away saying what a cracking film. Washington deserves to win the oscar for best actor, though lewis is probably nailed on for lincoln.

It had the potential to be really good, I was glued to it at first, but disappointed with the ending.

lewis could film himself having a shit and he'd at the very least get a nomination

good actor no doubt, but his films are all about him and sometimes hide the fact that the films themselves ain't that great - in particular There Will Be Blood, toss

he's only actually done 20 films, which ain't that many in the grand scheme of things

I'd take Washington over Lewis any day

Totally agree. Lewis will also get it because Lincoln is a USA film about a USA national historic hero.
