Me plus 2 in.. :good:

Had a look earlier and it was ?35 for a return.

Hmmm, its ?13 on the coach

I would take the train rather than the Metro fella, little bit quicker. Both run from Snow Hill.

I'll be taking in the delights of Brum c/c pre-match also :drinks:

Not been to Hawthorns station before;

-are the trains from Snow Hill to Hawthorns & back fairly regular ?

-can you get a ticket that's valid for tram & train?

-can you get back onto Hawthorns station from our side of the ground ?

A few years ago ,we got the train out to Smethwick & the nearest pub to the station had 5 varieties of pork scratchings ! Must be a local delicacy.

In + 1 and a cricket bat handle.

Might even take in a pub before hand..

Just moved into my flat at Brum Uni, so KP is in plus 1.

Are you bringing your PE teacher. We want to know HBAHT.

Long time no speak Richard. Whilst you don't often post these days do you still lurk and read? Have you read any of Diddledee's missives? He has a cricket bat handle moment at least once a week!

Bought three tickets this aft; just over 500 sold. time yet.

Yeh, I often have a nose around see whats going on, just not the posting part so much. Might get back into it. I must admit I am a fan of Diddlede!

Biff, whats this about the PE teacher, I have an inkling but cant remember what I posted! Just for the record they were small... Not much there at all!

Try using the search facility just to the left of your sign in name. Put "Teacher" as the search and "RichBWFC" as the author. There's bloody loads from 2006 ish.

Trains every 10 mins I think, not sure about the tickets but why would you need to? Got back to the station easy enough after, its the same side as the away end.

Snow hill has ticket barriers, a Somerfield by the entrance to pick up some cans, and the Old Joint Stock or Old Contemptables will do the job if you need to have a pint in the area. Any more info?

Bloody hell some of that is a bit cringe. Think i'll leave it at that.

Back to the game. Will be getting the train from snow hill myself, possibly a few cans on the way. Just hoping its as good as my last away game was, Stoke. Those 2 late Taylor goals made for the best away day I've been on I reckon!

For those going - watch your backs, this really is the land that time forgot.

Gonna drive down early park car have couple beers and get train in looking for quick exit after game where would be best train station to park car for a sharp exit and close to motorway.

Well, I'm not going, I'll be glued to the Ryder cup on TV and put the BWFC game on t'wireless

Funny one with West Brom - I know a few baggies and to a man they're all decent blokes, West Brom are a similar size club to ourselves and we share a healthy hatred of Wolves...

Yet all that said, there always seems to be a spot of bother at the Hawthornsn if it's isolated incidents on that main road; can't for the life of me work out why

plenty parking between the motorway and the ground

Moat house is best, couple of pints and a brisk walk.

Afterwards you are on the right side of the motorway for coming home.

COYWM !!

Is that a pub or Hotel?

hotel with bar for non-residents

Come off at J1 of th'M5 and instead of heading left to the ground, park on the road that's straight ahead (A4252, just checked) but get there early to get a space. 10/15 minute walk down one road to the ground - piece of cake as long as you're early :good:

That's what I've done on my last two visits; train this time though :drinks:
