Agreed. And despite his current run o form, can't see him in our team Which will seem wierd after today.

Made up for him though, wish him well.

:drinks:

wish we still had him

well done kev :drinks: :drinks:

i like nolan, always did, but we are better off with holden.

having said that, i think they have a better midfield than us overall,

anyway, well done Kev

Fook him, he don't play for us anymore so I couldn't care less. Saying that I think we've all got him in our fantasy football teams :)

I agree with that.

The main weakness in our midfield compared to Newcastle is Muamba. No goal threat, no creativity, no killer pass, yet he is a regular first choice.Winning the ball is part of a midfield players job but when it is a players only attribute it is not enough in a 4-4-2.

I agree with that.

I agree, the balance is not right with Muamba and Holden, and Holden is the better player, Mark Davies deserves some game time and that should improve the balance.

Muamba is there to break the oppositions play up and he is effect at doing just that. It's not his fault he is not a 'gifted' player when it comes to shooting and passing if he was then he'd be playing for a top 4 team.

This thread is about the leg-end known as Nobby Nolan. He looks good in an average team at Newcastle but his problem is that he is rather heavey on his feet (if you know what I mean, not twinkled toed).

i love nolan, gave us some great memories and always gave his all, but it was time for him to move on for us and himself, and im very glad hes turning in performances in week in week out for newcastle, every credit to the lad.

Yeah, let's just hope he has a dip in form on the 20th!

How to go from praising Nolan to some miserable fucker slagging off Muamba in 5 posts. Brilliant.

Whoever sold Nolan for 3 quid and a set of tracksuits probably needs a new career.

Its about time someon put Nolan out of the game for a year or so. A proper good 2 place leg snapper !

was chating to him the other week at haydock he said all bolton fans hate him .i had a few told him dont be a prick only a few did most of us loved you and allways give 100% and he said sorry said ok no probs he is a nice lad :drinks:

I remember his staying up with the lads in the Moathouse after a drunken Sportsmans dinner

Having said that, I may well have made that up but I'm sure I woke up in the bogs and he was sat in my seat when I came back

yeah because you have a bunch of angels in your team pablo

hes not intently gone to break his leg its just a very bad challenge.

and every time fellaini swings one of those elbows hes not lookin to hurt someone?

didnt tim cahill as well a few seasons ago go straight through xabi alonsos ankle stoods up?

I think folk look back at his time here through rose-tinted specs at times.

Fact is, he had three good goalscoring seasons (8 in 01/02, 12 in 03/04 and 11 in 05/06).

Trouble was, when you took away his goals, he was average at best at every aspect of the game other than pointing and shouting.

11 goals in his last three seasons suggests tells me it was time for a change.

Despite that, he was a decent servant to the club and he gave us some great memories so I hope he gets a good reception when he comes back later this month.

It?s good to see him steering clear of the referees this season, too.

50 goals and 70 bookings while he was with us.

We all know Nolan isn't the quickest on his feet though, so it may have been an honest challenge for the ball, but a very late one.

That dirty c*nt Fellaini on the other hand...

to be honest pablo to me there wasnt intent in the nolan tackle it was just a bad un, they happen.

I disagree on both.

Nolan was at it all game that day, and if you look back, pas his goals you will see, he has alwasy done it,.

Fellaini is just stupid, really thick. He jumps using his elbows, just like Kevin Davies does.....but he is much taller, so people come off worse.

How ANYONE can excuse that tackle above, I will never know.

He's played umpteen times since.

And he scored against Birmingham in March.
