did WBA at Sheff U when at uni, that was a bit odd - done Wigan twice with a Notts County fan, Wigan tw?ts sang anti bwfc/lofthouse sh?t most of the game

done a few stoke games, bradford games and once burnley when they played sheff utd in the cup.

Went to Burnley v Wimbledon once in the away end.

 

Launched a foul-mouthed tirade against Kevin Ball, still harboured a grudge from his Sunderland days of kicking Claus Jensen off the park.

 

Not sure what the Wimbledon fans thought of a northerner mouthing it in the away end. No-one seemed to bother anyway.

As Jules says been in the away end numerous times at County including Crewe, Orient, Bournemouth,

Port Vale. Also been to Chesterfield twice on the away end with Macclesfield (won on penalties in the FA cup

FA cup) and Stockport (when they won division 3 and Brett Angel scored)

been an ipswich 'fan' at forest, in the days of Muhren and Theyson (spelling?) shit atmosphere from home and away fans.

 

also been a Sheff Wed 'fan' at Newcastle when they had Mirandinho playing, 2nd div i think, again shit atmosphere, all away ends were uncovered, which didn't help.

 

On both occasions, I can remember thinking it was better at Burnden, even though we were shit.

Went to the recent Wigan v Swansea cup tie, Swansea sold out and the atmosphere in there end was top notch, they have a good repertoire of rousing welsh songs.

Went to Stockport v Grimsby with a Grimsby mate in 2008.

 

We were on the open end behind the goal and I've never seen weather like it.

 

They moved us into the stand to the left at half time and the atmosphere was brilliant.

 

Three and a half thou on and I reckon two thou were Grimsby.

Been to a couple of Oxford Utd away games when they were in the old First Division. They took about a car load to Goodison. It finished 0-0 and remains one of the worst games of football i have ever seen, enlivened only by Billy Whitehurst kicking everything that moved.

 

I also stood with the Southampton supporters at Old Trafford wearing my BWFC ski hat/tea cosy. When they spotted it, the whole of the Scoreboard End started singing, the 'Wanky Wanderers' song. Southampton won and i celebrated their goal as if it was one of our own.

 

I took the Oxford supporter to see us play Rochdale at Spotland in the old Fourth Division. He was amazed at the turnout from Bolton and even more amazed when someone took off their shoes and threw them at Keith Welch. He also tagged along when we played Scunthorpe at Burnden and was very impressed at the sheer size of Burnden Park compared to the Manor Ground where Oxford played.

Been to a couple of games as an 'Exeter fan'. Plymouth before they remodernised it with piss flowing everywhere and the Theatre of Shite for a cup replay stick out.

Been watching Cambridge away in the north quite a bit Farsley, southport, halifax, bury, alty etc. Always surprised they'd take a good few hundred who sang most of the match. Good crack. Similar experience to Wigan at Bury with them singing anti bolton songs all match, even the cambridge fans round me thought the songs made them look pathetic..

Been to Notts County with Mansfield fans the match was dull as dishwater the atmosphere was pretty lively.

 

Villa with united fans (my old house mate was a dirty red he had 2 tickets but his mate was ill so i had his ticket) typical yoonited they were losing with 5 minutes to go but came back to win i nearly died in the cruch (bit of an exageration TBH).

 

Used to steward in the away end at Highfield road back in my cov uni days when Birmingham visited it was 'interesting' to say the least.

so they get tickets for Wed V Utd in the home end kop

 

so at the match with Cardiff lads sat in the Wed end but surrounded by Utd fans who'd got tickets in the home end

 

rest assured, cheered like f?ck when Wednesday won 3-1 with loads of anti Utd chants, but no Munich ones, there really was loads of the knocking about (it was post France 98 so they had the Ar-gen-tina sh?t going on)

done chelsea end at leicester 85/86 season. went off big time after game. danny dyer would have shit it.
