Elmander To Liverpool?

Featured Replies

Indeed Mr Casino, from what i can gather:

Bolton want to sign Elmander to a new deal.

Elmo wants to sign one

they're just bickering about the wages

If liverpool or anyone wants to buy him in Jan some agent has been given the figure of ?5m either by the club or morelikely Elmo's agent

  • exactly   ive defended him till the hilt for the last two years because he is a quality player   this season has showed how good he could have been those last two years   thats down to both hims

  • he'd also be mad to sign a one year deal at 29 years old, when he's in the form of his life.

Talk about a confused state of mind.

you haven't missed anything

i've long since stopped trying to understand some of our support

even mounts is falling for an evening news non story

Is that believing an article in the BEN or being disappointed that one of our best players is leaving for whatever reason - hypothetically speaking of course but this whole thread is hypothetical

The article states

"But it is looking increasingly likely Wanderers will have to listen to offers, so they avoid the risk of losing him for nothing in the summer"

I dont think it is a non story, that line likely to come from a club source.

you give the local rag more credit than me

admittedly, i base my view on the evidence of over 30 years

and if youre willing to believe the artricle......

the only direct quote referred to is coyle saying talks will continue

it then says elmander wants a guaranteed place at liverpool

well, that aint happening, so he's not going there

Hope your right.

i wouldn't say he won't go to liverpool, but that article is bullshit and doesn't move us any further on

thers nowt in it

nowt at all

in fact, printing it is irresponsible, cos clearly some jump to conclusions when it offers us nowt new

That would be a good move for Chelsea. He is good, and they need defenders, and European one's will cost about the same, but Cahill is tried and tested at almost the top level.

ooh, you couldn't resist droppimg a little baited hook in there, could you.

Me ???!!!! Nah !

Be good for us as well. With all the reported interest from the "top" clubs it will only increase his price. If Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea are all after him then 1 of them will end up paying over the odds. It is inevitable that he's going to go, it's just getting the best price for him now.

No wonder Liverpool is almost relegating...

Relegating what?

you are not from round here are you ?

I am very disappointed

Don't think Elmander will go anywhere in January, can't see Liverpool or any other club paying a few million for him on the strength of a good half season.

You will be suprised how desperate some people are. Elmander will be cheap compared to any other players teams would go for in January.

woah

if he's demanding a starting place, he aint going

but i don't think for a minute his people are daft enough to make such demands

The Cahill story has more credibility. To put it in context though I would be just as disappointed at losing Zat Knight on current form.

I agree with you on Zat Knight, he has got better with every game, the best thing about him is he just gets on with it without any fuss, my player of the season so far.

"I will not talk about Gary Megson, but I can say the manager we have now is much more positive.

"He is always quick to praise the players and that was something Megson was not so good at. I have my confidence back. I have a manager who really believes in me." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11672_6563201,00.html

This bit amused me. It could be a case of if we get into Europe he will sign a new contract in summer and if we don't he'll be off for free.
