I'll be coming back from Sheffield for it.

I wasn't planning on going but that has certainly changed. So if anyone is going there and back via Birmingham, a lift would really be appreciated.

3 games today and not a black arm band in sight. I'm surprised and a little disappointed if I'm honest. Let's make sure we give him a good send off at our place.....

Tis a disgrace, if it was some waster from one of the big clubs there would be some recognition, it will be left to the public of Bolton to give the great man a send off.

Does anyone remember the cassette that was brought out in the 90's? Side A, The Pride Of Lancashite, Side B, LION OF VIENNA.

Be fitting if this could be played for the great man before the Chelsea game.

I actually still have it.

Anyone have a contact at the club to request this to be played?

reebokvoice - pm him, but he's probably got it in hand

Going to be a bugger for me to get to, specially if I'm still carr-less, but can't miss it :good:

Everyone - not only get there, but also get up pitchside in time for the tribute. Squeezing a last pint in before KO can wait for once

I am travelling up from Worcester if you want a lift from say Birmingham

I know the club have everything in hand for the Chelsea game.

All we need to do is turn up and make sure the atmosphere is something that Nat would be proud of.

Nat made his league debut against Chelsea in 1946-47 season when the football league commenced after the war.

Division 1

31st August 1946 Chelsea Away

Chelsea 4 Bolton Wanderers 3

Scorers

Lofthouse 2

Forrest 1

Attendance 62.850

Very fitting that we play Chelsea our next home game.

A4 cards held up all around the ground to form pictures and words is the best way.

Cheers for the offer cockers :good:

Realistically I should be able to train it up if needs be and then stay up, though I have to be in work that morning and so I'll have to sort out quickest way from early afternoon....of course the alternative is the bastards sort me car out

I disagree there mate, the armbands should be worn next week when EVERY team will play over the weekend, if the teams that played yesterday had worn them, would they have done it again next week? I would like to bet that a lot of those players involved on Sunday (especially the early kick off) didn't even know about Nat's passing until after their game. IMO

I will be there.Junior will be ball assisting.

Think we will both remember the night for a long time.

Sadly Nat's era was before I was born and I started supporting the Wanderers in the days of Frankie Worthington..

However Nat was Mr Bolton and Mr BWFC.The word 'Legend' is used too readily in football but you can certainly use it for Nat.It would be an honour to give the guy the best send off we can give him.

Let's hope there is a statue put up very soon at the Reebok in honour of the great man.

Is there any chance of this happening ?

I hope your right and every club wears the black armband, my instinct tells me it will only happen at the Reebok.

The FA and Premier league big shots cannot let this go without showing the proper respect, can they? I certainly hope not.

It's no doubt to close to the Chelsea game, but I think it would be good to see Bolton wear an old shirt, summat like from the 1958 Cup Final with the old badge.

I thought about that but i think what would be better is a match, dedicated to Nat , in which the players wear the 1958 kit .....That would be very moving in my opinion.

Looks like tickets are selling well if you go on the online tickets sales on the official website

Ill also be taking the day off to be there and driving to Bristol straight afterwards.

Also, as much as I like the sentiment. It?s a Monday night, its on TV, none regulars will have to pay up to ?39 a ticket, i just cant see it being sold out ? so cant imagine A4 cards held aloft would look that great with big gaps of red and blue seats! Maybe is they did it in the ESL only, in front of the TV cameras.

The rally call should be spread further than fans forums as we all go anyway, there shold be posters up in town and on buses, adverts on local radio etc - "say goodbye to Nat, Bolton V Chelsea..."

That's bull.I just checked that and could buy 8 tickets in a row in any upper tier block in the ground, apart from the Chelsea end.

Yeah but then some folk would be on here claiming the club were cashing in on his death

Maybe legitimately

Best to let people make their own mind up about this I reckon

alternatively, slash prices to a fiver!

who gives a shit about money for 1 night
