Some great shots of the supporters streaming down Manny Road before the game. Big games at Burnden looked even better under floodlights.

I was there then, Pud was on our minibus needless to say he never made it on the way back.

Swindon v Bolton 1987:

Look at the size of the linesman! Haha

Watched a load of the Swindon vids last night .... Really enjoyed the one at burnden where the action was filmed from the burnden terrace brought back memories of when I was youngster watching em sat on the fences at the front.... The embankment looks huge pre normid and loved the look of manny rd north full of idiots .... Shit as you like football though but it was raw and it was proper something today's footy lacks , also the Swindon replays looked ace can't believe replays went on and on till the death and even in that era when we averaged between 7k/9k on the league we had crowds over 11k and 14k in two of the L/C teplays .... Most wouldn't even entertain it these days

That season we averaged less than 5,000. Gillingham, Grimsby, Walsall, even PNE who were in the league below, averaged more than us. We were the 53rd best/worst supported club in the country. Luckily that's as bad as it ever got.

Felgate does not dive on either penalty, just stands on his line like he didn't want to get his shorts dirty.

without looking I bet most of the teams you mention were having a good promotion pushing season? if I remember rightly we went down that season to division 4?? I still think on a level playing field we are the best supported team in lancs

That is true but they also loved BWFC with a passion and would not let the club die and a good proportion still are the back bone of our support.
