Mounts Kipper Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Great find that I was ever present from 75 onwards but can't remember seeing Waldron play that much always injured so it was great to see that clip he should have been a top player, wonder. What happened to him after he retired never heard anything about him since. Quote

Zico Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 chungy was the best player in the first minute of it Quote
Traf Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Chungy's probably our best player, but he certainly isn't suited to the league we're in. Which basically says how shit we are. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted September 20, 2014 Author Posted September 20, 2014 selection of Coventry games forgot about Branagans scythe in the last minute Quote
SalfordOriginal Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Loved Nathan even though he never came across as liking us! Quote
jayjayoghani Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Met Blake once. Really surprised, he seemed like a nice fella Quote
QFPants Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Stood at the piss stone in between Nathan Blake and Mike Sheron at a party once....,..Blake wearing leather trousers and a giant medallion round his neck, cool as fuck Quote
SalfordOriginal Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Not sure if it's posted on this thread but came across the "This is your life" for Nat on YouTube. Strange as I was football made in 1993 and going home & away but can't recall this. What a great honour it was for a club like at ours to have someone make it on the show Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsjyhayHiR8 No better footage to show why I fell in love with football and more importantly BWFC and Burnden Park a trilogy of great games it was a privilege to be at Burnden for the 3-3. Guest Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I remember going to that away at coventry. Beardsley was playing. Only thing i really remember is coventry was an utter shithole Remember it like it was yesterday. 2nd game of the season, both away as the Reebok needed some finishing touches iirc. Southampton away was first and it was boiling. We won there. Were 2-0 down at Coventry, Beardsley came on and turned the game round and we got a 2-2. Was it Blake with both goals? Anyhow remember thinking that a win at Southampton and a draw at Coventry was a great start and was convinced we'd end up about 10th. How wrong can you be? Quote
Biggish Dave Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 first 3 were away - lost at Barnsley before Everton at home. I remember going in a dump of a pub near Cov station were there was a wake going on, they invited us to tuck in to the buffet. Got back to my mates house in Leicester and someone had been shot and killed at that wake! It was a gangland wake. Don't remember much about the match though other than Beardsley changing the game Quote
NZtrotter Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Has anyone got any footage of the Everton semi final, 2 legs 1978 ? Ive searched but failed. Quote
