Back to the thread then what's the crack with BWFC refuse to state what the injury is. (As reported in the BN)?

really dunno what to make of this one

cruciates and the like, i don't think the op is done so quickly

he had a clean and stitches on saturday then another op on monday

all very strange

i guess holden has also been told to say nothing as well as he's usually a good source of info

at times like this, fat sam would be scouring the lists of unattached players...

Thanks for the message....but this is not the Dukes of Hazzard. :D

I guess you're talking about the yall? :D I know it makes me sound like a hick (if you don't know what a hick is, it's like a redneck, like the Dukes of Hazard) but we honestly talk like that and it sounds better than "you guys," which is what they say in the north. Don't want to sound like a Yankee.

The trouble is the iPad autocorrects "yall" to "y'all" which looks really southern and not Texan. So I always have to go back and fix it.

It's a sham to throw Stoke off their guard. Joking aside I wish they would come out and tell us the full extent of the injury. I mean why the big secret?

It's obviously ligament damage.

Mon's got sliced like a soft melon. Must have gone clean through some major bits n bobs.

It definately won't be the cruciate. Both the anterior and posterior are in the very middle of the femur and tibia and very protected so I highly doubt they would be damaged. I'd hazzard a guess it's the medial collateral ligament which joins the femur and tibia down the inside of the leg. A gash like that would leave that ligament in the firing line before either cruciate, which is bad, but not quite as bad. Although that could just be total bollocks.

thanks for that...seriously

on the other hand, whatever he's done could've been linked to a jarring/twisting on collision, and not the gash

its not really clear what happens to his knee when they come together

y'know some of the players apparently didn't like the look of it...i'm sure they've seen nasty wounds before

Spot on.

The gash could just be the start of it and the coming together could have damaged any ligament. It's basically guess work at the moment. I can't see why the club won't just tell us though?

Looks pretty strapped up there.

That brace is commonly used after ligament surgery

JSL

Thought the American chap Steadman had the monopoly of knee surgery for sportsmen?

It is odd that no clear injury description is coming out

Don't think ive ever known a player become so popular so quickly

I hope hes here for a long time

Same thing here in Houston.

Is it ligament or fractured kneecap?

ligament at a guess. A fractued kneecap would have shown up immediately

It would be nice if at a home game, we all wore bright orange as a sign of support. Blonde wigs might be a step too far.

i am dying my roots black for next home game.

should make one game stuart holden day and get everyone to dress as americans. I have been building my gut up for this opportunity for many years. :D
