DazBob Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Hey, here's an idea.. Why don't we raid Toulouse again this summer. They've got a striker called Daniel Braaten who's banging the goals in for fun. He's only 5 goals short of that magical 10 goal benchmark for this season.

On the two occasions that I have seen him in real life, he always looks like someone running up a travelator in the wrong direction. His legs move very fast but he doesn't actually make much forward progress.

What is this based on? i had high hopes for you seeing as your bro isn't a mongalongadingdong Nugent is probably capable of 10 a season. Hardly inspiring though.

What is this based on? I said he could possibly get 10. As in "if he played every game and had a good season, by his standards". I see that as the best we could expect from the signing. The trouble is though, it's not about the best possible outcome....it's about what is likely. There are plenty of strikers in the Championship who 'could' get 10. I wouldn't question whether we 'could' attract them. I would question whether signing them is wise.

Because I'm not buying into your giddy notion that we 'may' sign someone who 'may' get 10 goals.. even though there is nothing to back up this up? I was trying to give the most positive assessment. He got 6 for Burnley, but didn't play every game. He played 30, some as a sub, so I'd say he's probably capable of another 4 if he were allowed to start every game.
