If Holden is out for the season, then he'll not play for us again, unless no one wants to gamble on his injuries, he's too good for the Championship.

 

Hearing Lee may be back in January and that Holden was very close to playing Prem football again, gave me a little optimism, I think everything is leading to one thing, and that's not just because of this news.

 

Losing Holden and Lee, plus the departures of Elmander and Sturridge, is like Barca losing Messi, Xavi, Villa and Pedro, of course not on the same scale as them, but losing your best players and the assists, goals and Holden's tackling and overall game means we are way way way weaker than last season and I don't rate our team that much.

 

Crap defence, dodgy keeper, no creativity in NRC and Muamba, captain is woeful atm, suspensions, players getting sick, players breaking legs, players getting injured all time, losing all time, goal difference shite.

Apperently some cartlidge damage was found during an op to correct something less serious, it's hardly the medical staff's fault, unless they are expected to routinely disect players to see if owt's up with them that they can't see.

Let's hope for a quick recovery for the lad, although I'm sure amisserabletwat will be blaming Jussi for stabbing a voodoo doll or something equally ridiculous!

It started going tits up after Holden got injured and then he comes back we win and then back to square one.

 

If you look at the play to win ratio when he plays, you will see that we are shit without him.

Last season didn't combust solely because hOlden was injured.....many of us said at the start of the season when things were going well that the way we were playing wasn't sustainable in terms of results over the whole season

 

Holden being out can't be anything other than a negative, but let's not blow it all out of proportion; with no Holden we can still amass more points than 3 other teams

No, but one of the others had his leg snapped in August and another may be sold in January so he doesnt leave for free in the summer

Actually struggled to nod off last night when i heard it was 6 months and not 6 weeks about half hour before i went bed. Grim, id snap anyones hand off for 17th now, lets just try and get through this season and still be in the league and look for better next season. I really arent optimistic about us moving up towards the 10-12th zome without lee or holden for the forseeable. Definitely cant sell Cahill now in January, mr Davies is gonna have bite the bullet and risk him going for free otherwise the money he loses out on could be considerably more come the middle of May.

most people on here said we would be on 4 points at this stage of the season, we on three so only a point behind most peoples target. after chesea we have three games against wigan, sunderland and swansea if we only pick up 1 or two points in thease games then we will be worried.

 

for now take a chill pill settle down and get behind who ever plays holden is a big influence on the team we are more than capable of picking points up against the bottom half placed teams.

A very big loss as he is a world class player, however I am not ready to right us off as relegation fodder on the back of this news alone but I have now accepted that Europe is not going to happen. The passport renewal application is going back in the draw.

 

IMO we are still good enough to at least finish above Wigan, Bburn, Swansea and Norwich. I can see us above these four and in the mix with Wolves, WBA, Fulham, Sundeland and QPR.

 

Its backs to the walls / circle the waggons time at Wanderers, Wigan away is a HUGE game for us and we need a sell out in full voice. Round up the troops!

Was at a bash last night and heard by text.
