no balls Posted November 27, 2011 Author Posted November 27, 2011 I'm sure I can think of better moments, but leaving his foot in on Gary Neville (then scoring a pen?), from which Neville never really returned, sticks in the mind Another one is the late pen at City. We stole that game. City fans chucking allsorts at us. Quote
HR Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Sickening loss, I can only hope he is now at peace. Quote
DazBob Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Woke up at lunchtime and had a fews texts saying he'd died. I assumed it must've been an awful car accident or something having only seen him on Football Focus yetsterday where he seemed , well, like I would imagine him to be. I'm absolutely shocked and gutted. RIP Speedo. Quote

Guest pansyroadwhite Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Loved him as our captain, still cannot believe it I thought it was a sick joke when i heard, RIP Gary thanks for some bloody good memories. Quote
no balls Posted November 27, 2011 Author Posted November 27, 2011 Lots of talk on twitter about the cause being depression, Arh, the gospel according to twitter. Any of the gossip actually coming from someone who was close to him? Then again, it's not a leap of faith to think that to be honest. I hope for his family's sake he left a note, this may sound daft, but having a family member do this, his father took some, if only a little, comfort from a note explaining his actions. Quote
Mike Hunt Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 A football legend that we had the good fortune to grace our club. Not a care in the world on football focus yesterday. RIP Gary Quote
Peter North Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Lots of talk on twitter about the cause being depression, Depression doesn't care about your bank balance, your status in life or the job that do or don't do. Depression is more fatal than cancer according to some news reports this weekend. Sad to hear the news about Gary Speed. Quote
farnworth white Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Just felt numb about this all day RIP Gary Quote

Walkden26 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 To beat the depression you have to realise you have it and a lot of people don't even realise or show any signs of it. Quote
