Boltimore Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Watching the goals and I forgot how many pens he scored for us. All great strikes apart from one v Utd. His first goal against Villa brings back memories. Hierro scored a cracking og and was bloody awful that day!! Quote

slug Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 There have been so many things said over the past few days that have really struck a cord with me. Gartside, about nobody having a bad thing a say to about him because he hadn't a bad thing to say about anyone else. Smiley (on Facebook) about if he realised how well thought of he was before his death. He had a humility and work ethic about him that was very similar to the late great Nat Lofthouse. To lose two great ambassadors of the club within a year is truly saddening. RIP Gary, I truly hope you have found peace with yourself. Quote
Boxie Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I've not been able to post before today, as I've just been too upset. I shed a few tears on Sunday. and was on the verge most of yesterday. Off up to the Reebok later to sign the book of condolence. He was a nice bloke, I met him a couple of times when he was playng for us, always polite, happy to sign autographs and get his picture taken. Watched him on Football Focus on Saturday, and was remarking how gorgeous he was looking, seemed to happy and full of life. Terrible tragedy, I know it will all come out in the inquest, but all I can ask at the moment is Why?? Quote
Zico Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 (edited) in among st all the sad tributes etc one thing did make me smile/piss myself and that was this lads last minute home made tribute to Gary... Edited November 29, 2011 by ZicoKelly Quote
marple whites Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Was up near the Reebok last night, so went to see the shrine. Very sombre, but its great to see how clubs come together in a time of tradgedy. (Leeds, City, Newcastle, United shirts) Quote
obbzi Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Very Sad news indeed. Thanks for some amazing times RIP Quote
hughmungus Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 This seems a very apt way to show support, wonder if the powers that be at the Reebok will think of something similar. Quote
