bolton va va Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 So sad .....he seemed fine on TV yesterday. My thoughts are with his family, R.I.P. Gary Speed. Quote
captainmed Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 My dad is close friends with garys parents. He didn't know Gary well but did on occasion play golf with him and said he was a nice, unassuming guy. I couldn't believe the news. RIP. Quote
Peter North Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 I just watched this... and I cried too. Not ashamed to admit that I did. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15911120.stm Quote
Danny G Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 I cannot believe it, one of a handful of truly quality players who graced the White shirt. I shed a tear earlier and I dont mind admitting it. What has happened? and what has gone through the poor guys head to make him do such a thing? He seemed fine yesterday. RIP Speedo Quote

Sir_Francis Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 A close friend of mine took his life the same way as Gary did. And just like Gary, he left two children behind. My thoughts are definately with them. R.I.P GARY SPEED Quote

Burndens Bogs Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 These days you have spoilt brat overpaid petulant Premiership footballers - and then you have a model professional like Gary Speed, i'm sure he would have played for free - a legendary player..... RIP Gary Quote
snowball Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Still in shock, thoughts go out to his family. Was a wonderful player for us, might have played for us at the end of his career but made a massive contribution and I always thought it proved a great signing. For this to happen, at that age and with so much apparently going right for him football wise is just unbelievable. Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Completely shocked, very sad news. RIP Speedo Quote
