Walkden26 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Really do hope we do something at home next week. Leeds got some of the old lads back, be good to see Campo etc laying a reef. It would be fantastic if they got some of the old boys back to pay their respects but I can't see it happening. Quote

MickyD Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Details of Saturdays tributes Full article, click on link: Official Site A minutes applause wreath laying video tribute programme tributes from former teammates You can't pay enough respect to a great player but, just an observation, this will be Villa's third game, each with a minutes applause/silence for the legendary Gary Speed. bwfc2003 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Details of Saturdays tributes Full article, click on link: Official Site A minutes applause wreath laying video tribute programme tributes from former teammates Personally I would prefer a minutes silence - I think applause should be reserved for someone with no direct club connections Quote
Ghana White Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Minutes applause are pretty underwhelming, minutes silence would be much better.. have they gone out of fashion? Quote
no balls Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 Minutes applause are pretty underwhelming, minutes silence would be much better.. have they gone out of fashion? Have the m?ngs with a penchant for tourettes type shouting mid minute not put paid to them? Quote
bolton va va Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Personally I would prefer a minutes silence - I think applause should be reserved for someone with no direct club connections I agree. Keeping quiet for a minute shows a bit of respect, whereas at Spurs, with the clapping & the attempts to start chants ,it all seemed a bit undignified. Quote
Casino Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 i'm having a quiet minute each to their own Quote

famouswanderer Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I guess it should be up to Gary's family whether they would prefer a minutes silence or applause. Quote

Peter North Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 A minutes applause is a fad.. A minutes silence is mourning and proper respect. Everyone should do that. I hope they do on Saturday. Gary Andrew Speed . God Bless. Quote
