no balls Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I believe we are going down, I'd just like us to go down with some sort of fight.
Guest Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 absolute certs for relegation, no doubt about it. awful team. shambles midfield, horrendous. tuncay wide right in a 4 4 2? clueless. did laugh out loud at the eagles man of match too. robinson on his backside a cpl of times too. just a shambles from top to bottom, defence midfield attack. thanks though to wanderersways and 188 bet for the hospitality tickets, enjoyed it .....at least til the match started Sponsored by Specsave, apparently
Guest bwfcdan Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Not down yet, soon will be. The future looks bleak...
SatanGreavsie Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Th'East Midl... Ah fuck it, you know the rest
marple whites Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 That was shocking - that bad, I'm not even that annoyed. No player came out of that game with any positives. I thought the team selection was wrong (and has been most weeks) The team changes every week giving us no consistency. We have no quality, no leadership and all throughout the game Coyle was doing f**k all. We have played 8 games at home and all but Stoke (who played wank), we have been downright awful. Away, we were lucky to play QPR when we did (different proposition now) and I thought Wigan were shite - but now not so sure. Fulham away - never do well, Blackburn away - for me they have better players than us. We need someone to come in and sort these tossers out / bang their heads against the dressing room wall and see who gives a shi*te, because at the moment no fuc**r seems to apart from the fans. All I can see is a good few away trips in the championship and not a lot else.

onefinfrandsen Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I believe we are going down, I'd just like us to go down with some sort of fight. Feel resigned to relegation, the players we have simply are not good enough, if we cant beat sunderland, everton and villa who are all very poor then i dont hold out much hope. iam afraid the lack of investment over the last few years has caught up with us, the club has a difficult decision to make do we keep coyle and hope he brings us back up with a fresh new team or do we get rid and hope who ever takes over can turn things round. not sure my self.

I agree after seeing todays latest totally inept display i can't see anything but relegation, but i do think the players we have in the squad are good enough, but due to the players letting themselves down week after week and Coyle's inability to play the right players in the right positions i can't see us winning a game any time soon.
Arnold Jackson Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 There is one thing certain... in any league there has to be a team who are worse than all the others! Less certain but highly likely is that the worst team is the one who spends the least money on players and wages. Somebody has to be that team. This season step forward Bolton Wanderers... without a doubt the worst defence in the division and soon to be weakened massively. My team of the last 35 years... Bolton Wanderers are no longer competing at this level and whilst I am sad to be leaving the Premiership for a lot of reasons... I am looking forward to a level playing field again where 25% of the fixtures are completely unfair and lacking in any sort of competition.

I'll say it again. Coyle and his staff are showing no signs of doing anything constructive with the players they have, however poor quality those players are. I see better in non-league. For me that's the sign of a poor manager. Get rid.

Arnold Jackson Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 (edited) we won't have the lowest wage bill We can all have opinions and guesses... my guess is that we do and sadly that's what football has become now. So Einstein whilst your having guesses... have a guess who in your opinion has the highest wage bill in the Premiership and tell me where they are? Maybe while you are at it have another guess at the top 5 wage bills and tell me where they are. Premier League football is all about the money... anyone blaming the manager week after week is silly! HomerJay Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Megson got all the blame, as did sammy lee. Why shouldn't coyle?

Of course we are at a disadvantage due to monies available. We have what we have got BUT the manager is making stupid team selections and substitutions - surely you have to blame him for that

Swansea, Norwich, Wigan will have lower wage bills than ours
tarian1979 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 we aint got any money so spunk 4m on a striker and dont play him, full marks there
Guest Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Swansea, Norwich, Wigan will have lower wage bills than ours Agree though, it is a moneytocracy
alibob Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 The highlight of going to the match for me is talking to Satan post-match. Says a lot really! :-p Not sure if everyone is too busy drinking/crying but the bickering seems to have stopped on here and twitter tonight? Are we all resigned to the inevitable?
MickyD Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 (edited) Megson got all the blame, as did sammy lee. Why shouldn't coyle? History. Although Sammy Lee was an ex-player he was never a folk hero. Coyle, on the other hand, was a third striker in a squad that had McGinlay and Walker. He came in when Walker was injured and played his part in some great matches at burnden Park. Megson was just another management journeyman who came to us to do a job. Edit = Sentiment would be a good word to use instead of history. Edited December 10, 2011 by MickyD
Arnold Jackson Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Swansea, Norwich, Wigan will have lower wage bills than ours I won't disagree with that. It's probably true. I think we are actually slighly better than Wigan despite what the table currently says. I just don't think we could get any manager that could keep us up on what Coyle has spent.

Are we all resigned to the inevitable? i've been resigned to it for a while, end of last season in fact. and I don't think a new manager will make one bit of difference.

Well if they are not resigned to relegation they need tablets Cant see any other outcome; after the Stoke game I saw a little light in the tunnel but after the last 4 defeats I cant see us getting out of the bottom 3 again this season and we might be stuck on the bottom to the end of the season
Alf Hartigan Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I don't think the current team would even be in the top half of the Championship.
superjohnmcginlay Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 the squad on paper is good enough injuries included, its a wank squad but good enough to stay up. The way its being asked or taught to play isnt. Theres nowt, no movement, no individual flair, no fight or want to win, even SKD gone from an England call to feck all, im not having that in 12 months hes gone from the pinnacle of playing for his country to the shit hes serving up, I dont get it at all. Coyles a nice fella but feck me his tactics are scottish third division, if we played Gretna now with him in charge instead of up front we'd lose

Says a lot really! :-p Not sure if everyone is too busy drinking/crying but the bickering seems to have stopped on here and twitter tonight? Are we all resigned to the inevitable? I think I am Ali to be honest. The defence is shocking. Every attack down either flank fills me with dread. Most crosses end up in the back of our net. After January I think we will see possibly the worst back 4 we have ever had in the Premiership! Don't tell anyone but I'm looking forward to the Championship... barring a rich nobhead wanting to buy us as his plaything, playing in this league is futile!
