yes, like the did the previous 4 times we won

we're now right back in the mix

we need to pick up 1 or 2 points from the next 3 games

then 3 or 4 from the 2 after that

we've still only 4 points at home, so we need to see a drastic turnaround

your fixtures are also (according to my bwfc app) wrong

its:

Man U - a

Liverpool - h

Arsenal - h

Norwich - a

Wigan - h

Chelsea - a

City - a

QPR - h

and as we're looking ahead, may as well include QPR at home after the Chelsea & City games

I was full of optimism after we beat Blackburn, but then the results against Newcastle and Wolves knocked that out of me. It's great that we won yesterday, but I'm still not sure why after that win we believe we can muster another 20/21/22 points from, unless something changes drastically.

If we can get 3pts from the next 3 games I'll be pleased, if we get less than that we will be struggling. We'll know after the Norwich and Wigan games which way we're going.

One result against a piss poor Everton side isn't getting me over excited, especially as we may well end up with the "dream pairing" of Wheater and Knight at the back for the run in

It`s a strange one that a team wins more away than at home.

Where's the maybe option in the poll?

Where's the maybe option in the poll?

you cant "maybe stay up"

After 3 dickings Norwich away, will be a very difficult game.

Same applys to the QPR game, we have to play them after City and Chelsea, we don't have a run of 'teams around us' games.

Which could seal our fate IMO

I'd actually given up when the team was announced against Villa.

We've been so poor for the most part we should be well adrift.

But we're not.

Was confident we could get results against 6 teams - 3 promoted, Wigan, Wolves and Roverrrrs.

Played all 6 and won 3 drawn 1.

Play 4 of these at home and we simply must win all 4 to have a chance.

Firmly believe 36 pts is enough this year, hope not beating Woves doesn't come back to haunt us.

Fancy us to beat either scousers or l'Arse - just because :D .

Fantastic result last night, COYWM.

thing in our favour is that we have won games we haven't lost - that aint as daft as it sounds

better what we've done than draw 16 and lose only 4

But we've lost the games we haven't won!

Guess your cup is half full then

Think we can stay up, bur far from convinced we will. This purely because of other teams in similar positions.

Playing all the top clubs in succession may harm our cause, but we've done that and are still in with a shout. Hopefully the players can take heart from that and who knows.

I think we can outgun Wigan and Blackburn points wise for the rest of the season so we just need to kick somebody else down with them and shut the door. Either Wolves and QPR seem most likely so the fixtures against them two will be crucial. I do beleive that Swansea or Norwich will slip into contention too but we might be struggling to make up the ground unless we put a run together like the start of last season.

still going down

looking at the table, it's the draws that separate us from the other teams, we've won as many if not more than the rest of the bottom half

it's just when we lose, we're wank and don't look like drawing, or like with newcastle we throw it away looking for the win, as defensively we're generally not good enough - for the rest of the season we do need to be picking up draws from tough aways/homes and showing battle

but due to our start, assuming we either win or lose games, we now need at least a 50% increase on the amount of games we've won to stay up, i.e. at least 8 from 18

i.e. we need to toughen up - our wins have all come against teams that have performed wank on the night, not by "fighting" for them - which we're going to need moving forward as the relegation scrap hots up - I wouldn't want to go to Stoke on the last day needing a win and trying to play nice for it

Wigan, QPR and Blackburn going down.

QPR can't go down, not with SWP on fire and earning whatever coin he was demanding.

Isn't it possible that our players have stopped them playing well? Not saying they have, but not everything is as black and white as you have made out.

you cant "maybe stay up"

Poll question -

"can we stay up?"

Answer - Maybe

:unknw:

I think we could stay up with 35 points this season, don't think we will need 40.

The answer would be yes then wouldn't it?

from what I've seen, no

QPR were woeful and would be bottom had they not invested since

Wigan were woeful and still are

Stoke were woeful on the back of 3 aways in 6 days

Blackburn were toss 1st half but still could've had a point 2nd half

Everton had chances early doors but injuries seemed to cost them

from what I've see, when we've won, it's not because we've stopped them playing, it's because we've been able too - in the main away from home

from the home form, it would seem when teams try to stop us playing they can, but not vice versa

Hope until the next abject defeat and Coyle makes wholesale changes for the next match

But at least there is hope :-)

I agree, we would be a lot higher up the league if we had signed him. The board were very shortsighted in not paying him what he wanted.

no...i don't think we will get 35 points

Yes, we can stop up. Scum and Chelsea won't five us again. Wins against Fulham. Wigan, Dingles, Swansea and Norwich, all sixpointers when they come round, plus some extras along the way and we'll be reet. Second half can't be as bad as the first half, and one or two sides always go into freefall. We've already had a bastard of a bad run. It's bound to pick up.

Can we stay up - yes

Wil we stay up - i still think we may go

Where is the "sneak a european spot" option?
