Guest Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 That's not the point though is it? International competition should be about using the resources at your country's disposal, rather than just waving a big fat cheque book and buying a trophy. money is a resource and it is at our disposal allardyce would gladly dispose of some of it for us Quote

Youri Djorkaeff Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) Couldn't care less, i thought he was a rubbish manager for England. (fair play to him for standing upto the FA though.) Lets hope the next guy moves the Euro base a bit closer to where we are actually playing in. Or at least to the country we will playing in. Edited February 8, 2012 by Youri Djorkaeff Quote
SpiritofBurnden Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 If we're not good enough with the resources at our disposal, then we're not good enough. If we're just going to buy our way to success, why stop at the manager? Why not offer passports to a few promising Brazilian kids and have done with it? Quote

All very noble, but why is getting a foreign manager buying success? Anyhow, Zola Budd's not busy. Quote

Moderators Casino Posted February 8, 2012 Moderators Posted February 8, 2012 As caretaker, FA to take their time to appoint the successor; that will be in the tabs by the weekend, guaranteed. leeds have actrually fcuked it all up by giving redfearn another 3 games my info is that neil is actually the fas choice Quote
jules_darby Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Breaking news, Redknapp has confirmed he'll lead the England team for the euros As long as they're in used notes and can't be traced Quote
Mona Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 The whole set up is something to be ashamed of. Lowlife players, the no.1 in line for the boss's job an illiterate person lacking an abacus. My days of going abroad to see them & giving a shiny shite are long gone. At least Capello seems to have some pride. Odd with him being an Iti. All very embarrasing. Just seen it (late I know) Agree with NB , absolute shambles And if twitcher make a balls of it, he will be exonerated as he is a thick illiterate cockney, brought in at the last minute, and he had no idea that Rosie was picking the team Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) Contrary to most I hope Redknapp gets the job as he is the best England born manager who can actually manage modern day footballers and has a proven track record of playing attractive football, his off the field problems I could not care less about, mark my words Redknapp will take the England team further than for many many years and we actually might win something, and it might just rekindle my interest in the England football team. birch-chorley Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Harry is the best man for the job IMO Will be interested to see how it works, can see him doing it part time until May. I hope Cahill still goes and gets a run out, he was well favoured under Capello but may not be first choice for Harry. Quote
pato Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 if Twitchy gets the job , Rooney is out of the group games the next senior is Bent Will Sandra get a call up? Quote

Members bolty58 Posted February 8, 2012 Members Posted February 8, 2012 Happy that an English manager for England has moved a lot closer today. Top marks to Fabio Capello for his principled stance. The boardroom should keeps its nose out of team affairs. John Terry is innocent until proven guilty and, as such, should not receive any form of reprimand or punishment until his case is settled in a court of law. For those FA bigwigs to interfere without even consulting Capello was disgraceful but yet another sign of the hysteria generated by these racial vilification cases. I hope Harry gets the job as he is the best around and we get the added bonus of Casino going off on one. Quote

freds dad Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 It doesn't really matter whether the manager is English or not as at the end of the day our English players aren't good enough. If we want the best manager in charge then much as it pains me to say it but Alex Ferguson is our man. Quote
