8 Hours Kip

Featured Replies

I'm a "sleeper",always have been and once asked my stepfather, who's a retired GP, what is normal. His advice was, you sleep for as long as you feel you need to. There's no rules and anyone who says so is talking out of their arse.

I only wake up when its daylight, is that normal ?

Past two years I've averaged between 5 and 7. Last lie in was until 930 and I'd been out until 430. Got a few funny looks taking the kids to swimming that morning.

If I get woken up after I've been asleep for 3hrs or more I can't get back off at all. Usually happens when one of the kids... actually no it's when the lad arrives home at silly o'clock from town and decides to tell me what he's been up to and asking if there's anything for tea!

I always wake up around 4 or 5am for an hour or 2, but usually manage to get another hours kip.

6 hours sleep is the norm for me.

Owt less than 8 hours is a nap in my book.

asleep by 11 awake by 7, pretty much every day, if i have more then 8 hours sleep i feel tired all day, and less than say 7.5 I feel tired too, they say that once you naturaly wake up you should get up and not go back to sleep.

In summer i tend to sleep less and have a lot more energy to go with it,

same hear

I don't sleep

I wait.

If you do wake up in the middle of the night and cannot get back to sleep i always find that having a quick wank helps

5 hrs on average for me.

last time i got 8 hours sleep i was when i was under the knife in blackpool vic.

tried every prescribed sleeping pill in the book, all crap.

once got a load of vallium of my mate, but that is most certainly not the answer....they become addictive and when it gets to tea time, you havnt a lcue what you did that morning.

poor sleep kind of works ok nowadays with a 1 year old nipper.... :D

if i wake up at 6.25, even tho i know the alarm will go at 6.30, its turn over time

I go to bed at 12 and I'm up at 10 to 6, except Sunday when I have a lie in until 7.30

I read somewhere that it depends on the time you were born?

I need min 7 hrs and was born around 8 at night, but can never sleep during the day, but get a new lase of life at 10pm

My other half was born 2.30 am, and can power nap in the afternoon, and go to bed at 22.00, be up at 4.30 am bright as button

However he is comatose after 10.30pm

16.00 is my low ebb

14.00 is his

Work that out !

I do with between 2 and 4 hours sleep a night at the mo although I did manage 14 hours last night due to the fact that Mrs Cure was returned from ospickle so I didn't have to shout at the kids.

And there's washing up and laundry to do. Lazy bint.

I could stay awake all night but once I've gone I need 8 hours absolute minimum, more like 9

I have to force myself to sleep at 10 - 11pm if I'm to get up at 7am, which is always difficult.

If get less than 7 hours, come teatime, I'm gone.

I don't do naps, when I'm out, I'm not getting up. Although I am easily waken (and pissed off)

whatever time I go to bed, generally 10.30-12.30, the alarm goes off at 6.30 and I wake up at 6.28 and I function fine once I get a few brews down me

If i have more than 2 spliffs after work then i need 8 hours sleep. I can function on 6/7 but not after a few joints

Coffee with 2 sugars always give me a kick first thing in't morning.
