Bolton Wanderers and England under 21's midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed during the FA Cup quarter-final at White Hart Lane as Tottenham Hotspur hosted Bolton Wanderers.

Fabrice 23, received medical treatment while on the field of play shortly after collapsing in the 41st minute of the game. Fabrice was then rushed to hospital as the game was abandoned by match official Howard Webb after consultation with both managers Owen Coyle and Harry Redknapp.

Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Fabrice.

Update

Fabrice is stable although in a critical condition in intensive care in the Heart Attack Cente at the London Chest hospital.

Don't even know why, could of easily put a Spurs player on the back but I got an England shirt with Muamba on the back today.   Hello to you lot by the way, as you probably guessed I'm a Spurs fan!

  • Retiring the shirt is the most ridiculous thing I think I have ever heard.

Fab's just been on SKY for us shit fans.

Very moving.

Holden as sky pundit aswell, get in.

He's just out on pitch, bringing a tear to my eye that lad

I'm a grown man

Don't mind admitting that seeing that man back on the pitch has reduced me to a wobbly mess.

Had a tear in my eye when Fab came out .

My positive thought:

We get good news tomorrow,

We play Blackburn on saturday in front of a full house all singing Muamba's name and win it for him,

We stay up this season,

Fab is well enough to come out on the pitch to an almighty applause and a lot of teary eyes.

I hope to god that this all comes true, however even if it is just the first bit that comes true, and fab goes on to make a full recovery, that is really the only thing that matters.

Keep fighting Fab!

3 out of the 4 have come true so far, just the staying up bit now for a full house.

emotional seeing the lad back on the pitch

Did anyone see this clip shown on Granada last night?
