Bolton Wanderers and England under 21's midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed during the FA Cup quarter-final at White Hart Lane as Tottenham Hotspur hosted Bolton Wanderers.

Fabrice 23, received medical treatment while on the field of play shortly after collapsing in the 41st minute of the game. Fabrice was then rushed to hospital as the game was abandoned by match official Howard Webb after consultation with both managers Owen Coyle and Harry Redknapp.

Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Fabrice.

Update

Fabrice is stable although in a critical condition in intensive care in the Heart Attack Cente at the London Chest hospital.

Don't even know why, could of easily put a Spurs player on the back but I got an England shirt with Muamba on the back today.   Hello to you lot by the way, as you probably guessed I'm a Spurs fan!

  • Retiring the shirt is the most ridiculous thing I think I have ever heard.

Not really. If I'd had a minor contratante with one of my employees, I would laugh at them for nearly dying and not bother showing any humanity afterwards either. That's normal isnt it?

If an employee had badmouthed me and then went on the sick i'd just ignore them and let the doctors do their jobs, Coyle has gone out of his way to be nice although some of it might be down to deflecting attention from the impending relegation.

Unbelievable.

I hope his touch has improved or there'll not be a safe ornament in that living room. :D

Great to see him up and about though. Truly is a miracle.

The full version pans out to show him alone in an aircraft hangar.

Dam, there goes my theory about the bloke behind the curtain with a stick.

I'm just glad he's on the mend, hope his remarkable recovery continues.

Reading that he hasn't regained full memory as yet

The FA bigwigs have invited him to the Royal Box for the Cup Final this year

Tell him he's Pele.

Tell him Coyle never dropped him or kept subbing him.

Retrain his brain with a video of his goals

Hmm, some mistake surely

Yup Farbrice, you never missed the net with a shot, every one was on target,,

Unbelievable.

I know, amazing...

I was never allowed to play footy in the house

Two assists and a goal for Antonio Cassano at Siena today.

Garty has just tweeted see you tomorrow at the reebok to fabrice and Shauna and asking if his father is coming too so it looks like he's turning up.

should add a few to the attendance.

He'll go when when he wants

Still better than Pratley.

memo to Coyle - put him on the subs bench at the last minute possible against Spurs at the Reebok. that would definitely unnerve their side and have them in awe. the crowd would be electric, players totally fired up for a change and 3 points in the bag. we stay up,everyone's happy.......MOM ....i've shat em :db:
