Bolton Wanderers and England under 21's midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed during the FA Cup quarter-final at White Hart Lane as Tottenham Hotspur hosted Bolton Wanderers.

Fabrice 23, received medical treatment while on the field of play shortly after collapsing in the 41st minute of the game. Fabrice was then rushed to hospital as the game was abandoned by match official Howard Webb after consultation with both managers Owen Coyle and Harry Redknapp.

Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Fabrice.

Update

Fabrice is stable although in a critical condition in intensive care in the Heart Attack Cente at the London Chest hospital.

Don't even know why, could of easily put a Spurs player on the back but I got an England shirt with Muamba on the back today.   Hello to you lot by the way, as you probably guessed I'm a Spurs fan!

  • Retiring the shirt is the most ridiculous thing I think I have ever heard.

I would get him on the pitch before the game Saturday, if he is out of hospital surely this would not be a health risk.

dunno, but if he's meant to be resting up and weak after all them weeks in hospital, I doubt going to a footy match would be good for him

We weren't all Muamba bashers.

At least half a dozen of us have rated him all along.

Don't think he meant Muamba to watch us play - just be on the pitch before kick-off.

Then get the fook home asap.

There's a difference between supporting Muamba the man in his hour of need and thinking he's a great Prem player when he was fit.

Maybe it's different in scouseland.

Reckon he will be there Sat

I'm worried about my heart holding out tomorrow.

I don't want to be worrying about Fab's too.

COYM Swansea "who are you?"

The 3 sensablie(ish) ones rated him.

Moyes loves him, so he must be bang average tbf !

Just seen he has sold is story to the sun! In tomorrows edition.

So the Red Scousers will never know what went on then.

the story of his cardiac arrest or why his new best friend refused to play him??

Haha like it!!!

I find it weird, there was obviously something not right between Coyle and muamba before spurs, but Coyle was playing dad after the collapse.

Should be an interesting read though

Did you expect him to gob on his prone body and insist they got him off the pitch so the game could continue?

Unbelievable.

Unbelievable.

Not really. If I'd had a minor contratante with one of my employees, I would laugh at them for nearly dying and not bother showing any humanity afterwards either. That's normal isnt it?

Bloke I didn't particularly like got binned at work last week. Perhaps I should have banged on the window giving him the V's when he was walked off the premises.

Actually, I might've done :D

Unbelievable.
