Guest Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Front page of today's BN unlikely "in the extreme" to play this season Apparently he'll have one of these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implantable_cardioverter-defibrillator Quote
Ani Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 And if we ever sign eejits like that you can have my season ticket back! I don't care how much the pundits over inflate their egos, you can shove Cole and Gerard and Barton, and Crouch and Parker where the sun don't shine I'd rather have Robinson, Pratley and "wash my mouth out" Eagles , than that bunch of money grabbers Jesus did I just say Eagles!!! You just took the prize for the most stupid post of all time off Homer. We want a team of nice blokes and decent chaps ? The only difference between our players and the ones you mention is that ours are not as good or as high profile. This excludes the christian element such as Eagles but he scores double points in the not as good section. You may explained OCs transfer policy though. Quote
miamiwhite Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Apparently he'll have one of these http://en.wikipedia....r-defibrillator memo to Coyle - put him on the subs bench at the last minute possible against Spurs at the Reebok. that would definitely unnerve their side and have them in awe. the crowd would be electric, players totally fired up for a change and 3 points in the bag. we stay up,everyone's happy.......MOM ....i've shat em Quote

Danny G Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Back on thread, do we know when Muamba will be having the defibrillator fitted? Quote
Uncle Albert Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Incredible. http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/9638426.Muamba_set_to_return/ Quote
enzo gambaro Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Nothing there to suggest it's anything more than a padded out version of the Mirror piece. I'm very sceptical about the validity of this news. Quote
Guest Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 So, we'll get him fit and raring to go and then Coyle won't play him! Quote
Happy Wanderer Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Fantastic news yet very early in his recovery, just don't put too much pressure on the young lad to pull on a white shirt again. I sincerely wish Fab all the very best and if he plays again the reception will be filled with tears of joy but if he never kicks a ball again as a professional I still think it's a miracle he is alive. Whatever happens and he lives to be a grand old age is remarkable. Quote
Guest Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Thinking about this They will have to get him into training to see if he can come back or not and for the insurers to see whether they have to pay out. Quote
cheekybwfc Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Get him on the pitch before the Swansea game, that would give everyone a boost.. Quote
SatanGreavsie Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Thinking about this They will have to get him into training to see if he can come back or not and for the insurers to see whether they have to pay out. Well it's not for me to say to him or to the medical people whether he should try to resume his career or not, but unless they really have 100% ascertained it's summat that was a fluke, and if happens again can be contained, then I really hope he doesn't risk it. He'll not be short of a bob or two and - as I've said before - as a bright lad he can make a mint by writing his autobiography interspersing his unusual and dramatic early life with the events that unfolded a few weeks back. He could do a Brian Moore and win the William Hill sports book of the year. Etc..etc..media work.... etc...into a ripe old age. I'm happy to pay me ST money to see blokes put effort in and maybe risk painful injury, but I've no desire to again witness what I saw at WHL. That said, if he's up to it a brief appearance walking out to a guard of honour before the start of the Spurs home game (preferably preceded by some of the mob who saved him) would be fucking tip top. MickyD Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Indeed, especially if you'd like to see this grown man cry. Quote

Trotski Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Back on thread, do we know when Muamba will be having the defibrillator fitted? I've had one of these for 6 years. Ok we don't know the specifics of Fabrices' condition, but when mine was fitted I was told to avoid contact sports in case the leads to the heart became detached. But there is always advancement in medical science. Hopefully this is the case. Quote
Ben Der Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 did fadiga not have one for years? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khalilou_Fadiga He did indeed but was warned not to play again... Quote
Werder barmen Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 http://en.wikipedia....Khalilou_Fadiga He did indeed but was warned not to play again... risky stuff then Quote
Burndens Bogs Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I think Fadiga carried on playing for around 7 years with his "pacemaker" fitted. Quote
ROSSENDALEWHITE Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Back for the run in!! http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/11042012/58/premier-league-muamba-return-thanks-gadget-implant.html Quote
Didledee Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Hope he is but he wasn't playing much before his cardiac arrest and next season Holden will be back, if he's good to play, maybe he won't get a game with NRC, Pratley( he should before this shite, but knowing Coyle?) Holden ahead of him. It's a miracle if he even plays as a back up/rotation player, good enough for our team, but mentally, i.e knowing you've collapsed before, will this play a part whilst he's on the field again, which could effect his game. tylswhite Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 The fact the lad is walking around again is good enough to make the squad. Quote
