Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

Its never too hot to walk down the street with no shirt on in this country.

Or work with no top on for that matter.

Apart from scaffolders. They are that fucking nuts they can do what they want.

As the weather is so hot I asked the Hermes delivery driver if he'd like a bottle of cold water. When he said yes I dropkicked it over a fence into my neighbour's rose bush and told him I'd left it in a designated safe space.

Lovely part of the world. Hope you get a clear eve for the stars out there. You heading any further North?

No, staying here. It's strange though, as pretty much every night as it cools, it clouds over somewhat, so the star display is disappointing. Came 2 years back and the weather was a bit wank so didn't expect to see much, bit this time I thought we would.

As I sit here now, 8.20pm, it's still quite blue so fingers crossed.

Dreadful as it is, mother will be on the box in a few days about how there arent enough warnings

tragic, whatever

See I get it with the Sea as there are hidden undercurrents and folk dont have a clue about tides, but I can never grasp how people that can swim get in so much difficulty in a reservoir or canal?

What the fuck are they doing to drown themselves?

Cold water shock. Can still be deceptive if the water body is deep.

Ale can be a big factor too.

My uncle drowned before I was born- a teenager, had had a drink and got into difficulties in a lake. His mates tried to rescue him, but he was panicking and was taking them down with him and there was nowt they could do in the end.

Yeah cold water shock.

Reservoir swimming as a kid was OK in summer in the jumbles going in from the shore and staying near the surface.

Jump in off the bridge and it was fucking baltic.

I have drummed into our kids never to go swimming in reservoirs and similar. The water just below the surface never really changes temperature and cold water shock is the result.  Every damn summer kids die needlessly.

I was never sure how bad cold water shock could be until i did tough mudder

Admittedly it was done on a cold November day

But at point i experienced it I'd already been exposed to a man made ice bath obstacle

Anyway, a pond with with three  lines of barrels on rope across it

You had to wade through and then duck under water to get past each line

Wading was fine, no bother at all

But when you ducked down and put your head and chest into the cold water was something else

Just felt like immense cold pressure crushing your body

Ever since then i totally understand how folk get in trouble

I jumped off a boat into the Atlantic Ocean a few miles off the coast of Tenerife once,

My entire body just seemed to shut down. Nothing worked. Couldn’t move a limb, couldn’t breathe, couldn’t even shout for help.

Fortunately a bloke next to me pretty much slung me on his back and swam back to the boat.

Its terrifying

It's 24 today in da lake. Gets below 14 you have to do cold water training before you are allowed in.

Anyway, had enough of it now, popping down to Whitstable on Sunday, fancy a sea dip.

Nice. Enjoy.

Looking at next week's forecast and it is shite. Typical. Going for a week away in the lakes.

I was up at the secret lake which isn’t much of a secret (near winter hill) with my lad yesterday, I’m getting him into open water swimming so he had his wetsuit on, about half a dozen kids came up as we were leaving and just jumped straight in. It’s fkin nippy even with a wetsuit on.

Climate change.

2 days of warm and the country is in meltdown.

I'll guarantee we're getting "worst floods ever" news in the next few weeks when it rains.

That's climate change for you, massive swings in weather. Joy.

Ah, I see you are in need of a Newsround-style explanation of Climate Change.

No thanks mate. I know the difference between weather and climate change.

I've had 2 hours from my employer as a compulsory training.

Pity there is no consistency in the media's portrayal.

Me and you getting useless paper straws at mc Donald's aren't saving the planet whilst China spews all sorts of shit into the atmosphere and while a whole host of cunts fly into Davos annually to lecture us on carbon emissions.

And green washing firms who buy shit from China but only count carbon once it lands here or worse still pay for carbon offset in low gdp countries... Cunts.

Firms mandating electric cars on their fleets mean fuck all whilst we mine the fuck out of the earth for the material needed for their battery.

Good point  Could you sum that all up in the form of a meme though?

Some valid stuff there, and some bollocks too.
